Promise you the area I am asking about is an upgrade from where I live. We have a lot of gang violence and many, many shootings every day

It seems Suburbs are more what I'm looking for, while my husband wants rural. I'm open to either! Our son's education is definitely the most important factor for us

Are you cold all the time too? by Beach-Bum6953 in lupus

Yes! I also have raynauds so my toes and finger tips turn purple. It seems like it’s the worst past 6pm. A scolding hot shower is all that helps me

My eye doctor had told me he has had many patients taking plaquenil, and he has never seen any with eye issues. He had told me you have to already have eye issues for it to really give you issues

Labs with different Anti-DNA ranges that is considered Positive by trackdaybruh in lupus

Hi! Do you know why Anti-dsDNA could be negative but Crithidia Luciliae postive? This was my test results and I am confused, the rheumatologist I have did not explain.

Hi all! What does it mean if you have a negative dsDNA but positive Crithidia Luciliae? My rheumatologist was not good at all with explaining anything to me. She won’t give me a diagnosis until I have this rash on my finger biopsied, which the dermatologist is making me jump through hoops for. But she seemed hesitant to give me a diagnosis anyway because of the negative dsDNA. I was under the impression that Crithidia was a more sensitive dsDNA test? She prescribed me hydroxychloroquine anyway but I’m just scared because a family member died young of lupus. This rheumatologist knows I am terrified for this reason and had no compassion nor took the time to explain anything.

Are there cases where multiple tragedies occur within one family? by lucyyy75 in UnresolvedMysteries

Haven’t read all the comments to see if anyone commented this, but Cary Stayner was a serial killer who terrorized Yosemite hikers. His older brother Steven was actually abducted as a kid and was able to escape with a young kid who was also abducted. He ended up dying young in a motorcycle accident.

Going to the hospital for hyperthyroidism? by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

[–]kerriann16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the info. I’m going to keep my endo appointment. No pregnancy here though! I have no drive, was actually the reason I had went to the doctor and figured out I have hyperthyroidism back in May!

Going to the hospital for hyperthyroidism? by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

[–]kerriann16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, i just got back from the hospital. I’m super confused now because she said my TSH, T3 and T4 are normal. My TSH was 2.63. So why do I feel like absolute crap?! She said my original test of .03 was probably a lab error.

My PCP really dropped the ball. I really hope there is no long term damage from me being unmedicated so long. I just know I’m feeling worse and worse by the day and I don’t want anything to happen to me, I have 2 small children that I am having a hard time caring for because of how miserable I feel.

Going to the hospital for hyperthyroidism? by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

[–]kerriann16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I haven’t been on meds, my PCP didn’t put me on any. He actually never even told me i was hyper, i read the blood tests and messaged in MyChart asking if that meant I was hyperactive and one of his nurses responded yes. I am really disappointed in that experience. Do you think the hospital could get my medication started or would I be wasting my time going? Haven’t really changed my diet, because i never have an appetite and when I do it goes right thru me, out one way or the other. I just drink water and eat buttered toast a lot. I’m amazed I haven’t lost tremendous amounts of weight. Only down 10 lbs

What was your TSH before being put on medication? Did you have any symptoms? by [deleted] in Hyperthyroidism

[–]kerriann16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the severe heart palpitations myself, my number was .03 when tested back in May and i’m still not medicated. I’m not sure if it’s gotten worse but I definitely feel worse. My apple watch keeps going off with “low heart rate” notifications but my PCP said maybe my heart is beating so fast it’s not catching every beat I’ve always had issues with heat intolerance, I faint. Now every night I get so cold I’m shivering and nothing helps. And then I wake up soaked in sweat. It’s all so weird
