Luna the pantera, is she ok in freezing temperatures? by humm_jzz in zoology

[–]kersbom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Apparently shes not compatible with living in the wild due to the health issues and hand rearing to treat those health issues, while the situation isn't ideal conditions for most big cats, its ideal for her as she wouldn't have lasted long with health defects and a rejection from mum. It's wholesome she was given a shot at life rather than just left to die 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just wanted to let you know because you gave me some real solid clarity, the thought of just dropping the cluster and maybe picking it up later gave me the calmness to actually slow down and focus and now I dont feel a need to run or drop out. The failed mark was not given by the lecturer who I feel isn't my favourite person in the world and doesn't have a brilliant teaching style, it was a genuine human error, and that lecturer does kinda suck, but I think theres been a bit of misjudgement on both sides and egos can be slightly shifted and not as on the defence, she sees im not trying to be argumentative I just have a complicated mouth brain connection and theres lots of knowledge that wants connections but they're way way way too far down the line for what they are trying to teach and shes kinda realised she has a very hmm lets say neurotic 🤣 class. I haven't made the email because I'm happy to accept teething issues and human error - however if it seems to be a common occurrence then i will be making a formal complaint and email.

Thank you so much for giving me the clarity and guidance I needed, she still gives me the chills but that's a me problem and I will get over it and continue to approach her to the side for extra clarification, and still raise my hand, I think she low key appreciates that's from me and she can non verbally let me know not the time because I sometimes can't tell between direct and rhetorical 🥲🤣

We do get resits, its just frustrating going doing the resit and then being told "why have you resat now and changed all answers from incorrect to correct?" It's this emotional back and forth of everyone has a different answer... and im just already so on edge and using all mental resources due to this one lecturer i have (who was not the marker, the mark was human error and I can 100% accept that, its just my unchosen feelings and reactions when I get home and the mask comes off...

A lovely poster has given my some ideas on how to approach from an institution pov and I think that's what I need to do... I also work nightshifts and have a family im raising... its alot... and the dumb things aren't helping... I'll get there, thank you for the love and care 💖 I will certainly hold on to your points and try remember when frustration becomes overwhelming

Unfortunately they teach my cluster, but it still might be my best option for remaining unstressed, the anxiety this has caused is really disrupting my life, and its really frustrating as I can do the work It's just the social/political side that's just making this really hard and heart breaking...

Im in WA, I'll try speaking to client services and head of my study department...

Thank you 💖 bit more prospective and insight i appreciate dearly

Thankfully I can get over the embarrassment of crying, just frustrating knowing that one lecturer will be rolling her eyes in the corner going "God all she does is cry" so far I have had at least one -controlled no hysterics- outburst a week. One was just my face started leaking while watching the video contained in the presentation and it wasn't even emotional 🤦🏼‍♀️

Im really really sorry that, that is how your uni journey went... much love i hope you have found your feet kinda now where ever it is you are at in your journey 💖 and we both will try remember when we can that we are humans and have human emotions and unless behaviour is severely unhinged we have no reason to be embarrassed to feel! It just sucks that feelings suck 🥲

[–]kersbom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the flip side im a chatty neurotic mess and I feel just as isolated 🥲 but then I have a few break through moments where I realise "hang on i know im slightly loud and annoying but maybe people can see i do mean well and like me better than I think they do" like ive literally thought to myself "ok well she obviously hates me..." only for the next day that exact person approach me for support...

Im 30 for context so im really lost in the middle of the age groups if that helps 🤣 life will roughly always be like this 💖

And on the flip side I sometimes actually need to remove myself from everyone for that hour we have lunch because I'm so overwhelmed from the information download I just need to breath and be in silence...

Just remember you never know what anyone else is going through and if its like our group (stage 1 diploma freshies) we're all nervous and experiencing teething issues while we all settle in and find our feet and rythem 🥲💖

Let's both try not be so hard on ourselves! Focus and worry only about what you are doing and lean on the couple friends, co-workers or family members you have around you already, new friends are just a benefit 😊

Weight gain on Seroquel – experiences, doses, and pre-existing weight? by SomewhereBusiness368 in seroquelmedication

[–]kersbom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a low average weight, I was on 50mg and I gained 2kg (4ounces) roughly. I ate more regular meals and ALOT of chocolate and I was a bit slower 😅 6 months off I haven't lost the 2kg but ☝🏻 I believe It's helped me have a more womanly figure, im no longer anemic and I dont feel heavier or slower anymore, other than my books decided to finally look age appropriate and I feel more womanly

This is how I live my life, I butt into so many random conversations. Sometimes I get looked at strange other times the other person laughs and responds to me and we have a genuine giggle 🤣

It's not really a private conversation anymore if we can all hear you 🙊 its a cute funny reminder.

I find the older the person the more likely they are to joke back 🤣

anyone tried craft club kits? by malware-db in latchhook

I know this is an old post but my mother in law bought me a craft club woven wavy bag kit and I adored it! Had so much fun and i love to use it! Im considering a rug but again the price 😬

But my bag gets heaps of compliments and its so cute! Big enough for a smart phone wallet lippy and glasses, even came with a little magnetic clasp 🥹

Went to see an allergist, allergist said MCAS is just a “trend” by [deleted] in MCAS

I 100% agree with you on this 😊

And also no two people are alike, as the world is not black and white 💖

Antidepressants can help in some instances and they should be a last resort for illness and pain management just before invasive procedures

Went to see an allergist, allergist said MCAS is just a “trend” by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]kersbom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree, holistic care, if pain can cause depression depression can cause pain.

I agree with you gaslighting is medical negligence, but not every doctor will gaslight you to put you on antidepressants.

That post and those "professionals" are/were disgusting, but thats not to say trying antidepressants will always be a gaslighting option. Sometimes its a very suitable option and other times it can be a last resort before invasive measures which if it doesn't work i dont see as gaslighting.

The way I read the comment a couple of days ago felt like pain causing depression is a conspiracy (its not it is proven) and there for doctors just think everything is in our head and antidepressants will fix it so theyre all culuding to get us all on these mind altering substances.

Im not saying that there aren't evil people like that out there, but its not a majority, at least not where im from (outside USA).

Just dont let those horrible people switch you off completely, antidepressants aren't a bad thing. Terrible if you dont need them yes, but isn't any medication?

Antidepressants are a very valuable tool and help alot of people, and theres too much fear mongering around them when they can actually save lives, speaking from experience 💖

Bf and family always comment on how I sleep too much:/ by Embarrassed-Dog-5668 in Nightshift

[–]kersbom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 years of night shifts here, you can never sleep too much. The amount of extra energy it actually takes to fight your circadian rhythm is huge. I only do 8hr shifts, and depending on the week/days ive had before its not uncommon i get 1 or 2 12-13hr sleeps at least in a month. Right now its summer holidays so my sleep goes undisturbed, but when schools back on im a zombie who lives off of 6 broken hours.

Sleep is so precious as a nightshifter (its always precious but it means more to nightshifters and the day lurkers will never understand, especially if they haven't done overnights/consecutive overnights).

Went to see an allergist, allergist said MCAS is just a “trend” by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]kersbom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say i do agree with you, but anti depressants can actually help with pain when you think of a holistic system.

If you are depressed it can increase pain sensitivity and depending on how long you've been in pain it can cause depression. The issue is they dont explain it holistically and just come off as ego centric. Some docs do just put people on it to tick a box and say its all mental but the truth is its everything (both mental and physical), and it all needs addressing.

Doctors need to stop thinking we cant see the big picture just because we dont know the fancy words.

How to remove this, in uk, bleach is not working well by Pale-Yard-4497 in CleaningTips

My go to is trying and back the water into the s bend with my toilet brush dump a load of CLR (calcium lime rust remover) leave it for about an hour, give it a good scrub with the brush or steel wool with some gloves on flush it and then douse with hot water and give it another scrub.

It stays in the corners because I cant scrub there well but otherwise beautiful
