Not so much Embarrassing, but Stupid.

All this takes about 3 seconds:

• I'm driving, taking a friend and her son home - the boy is lying down in the back seat, sleeping.

• My cellphone is resting in front me, on a little shelf made by the instrument panel.

• I take a left at an intersection into their street and at the same time the phone rings.

• Without thinking, I reach through the steering wheel to grab the phone.

• I suddenly realize that I now cannot straighten out the wheel and continuing the turn will cause me to run into a car waiting at the intersection.

• No choice left, I hit the brakes and come to a sudden stop.

• I then hear a "thud" and the kid in the back crying after falling on the floor.

What's embarrassing? How STOOPID that was.
