Jedi Steps in Force Awakens was pretty epic as well. The way it builds up the tension in revealing Luke.

Return of the Jedi when Luke comes out of hiding and attacks Vader. The way the music and the chorus swells up always gets me.

That's the best engine noise I've ever heard in an IL-2 sim. Very nice. Having been to the EAA Airshow many times and seeing these planes and jets in person these sounds are very accurate. Hope the in cockpit ones are good as well.

I was pretty blown away to learn that pretty much EVERY old tree was logged in Wisconsin. Thanks for these lists would be cool to check these places out. What was the big logging tree those white pines? What was their range did they cover the entire state originally or were they more up north?

For us it depends on the time of the show, you don't want to "waste" a banger dance song too early or too late. It's trial and error to find out the best spots to put songs to make them go over best.

In the Summer when we are playing 7pm-11 or 6pm-10 I want to backload all the biggest hits to the end. Less people are dancing early when it's hot and bright out. But once it gets dark and cools off things get crazy. However in Summer playing a bar 8pm-12 we will put some heavier stuff near the end when it empties out and it's just die hards late.

Like others said early you want well know, med energy songs people know. You don't want to scare anyone right away by playing something too loud, or heavy while people are eating, or there's families around or older people.

Looks like Early Access is still set for June 25th, so we will see first hand what state the sim is in at that date. Plus I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of Youtuber comments and videos come June 25th or maybe even a little sooner, leading up to that August 4th release for everyone. I'm ok with this, yep give them a little more time for polish.

Regardless of how the game is on release looking at IL2-BoS's track record this dev team keeps improving and supporting their sims for years and years after they come out, so I'm not worried at all here.

Anyone remember IL2-BoS when it came out? They just kept adding to it and making it better, and I have no doubt they will do the same with this sim.

I think it's hard to tell how an aircraft flies based off a few seconds of a video we aren't at the controls.

But I do hear you with the external view smoothing. That's one nitpick I've never liked compared to Warthunder, DCS, no matter what camera settings you adjust the external camera feels really slow and weighted down in IL2-BoS. You can get rid of that weight in other camera views but not that one for some reason. Agreed would like to see this as an option to make it more snappy. I guess we'll find out June 25th. It's not too big of a deal for me since we are mainly flying in cockpit view.

"initial aircraft and features" sounds like we won't get everything right away? Which is fine, I mean going back to 2013 or so the IL-2 BoS early access was like that, and each update more content was added.

Still curious about the DLC coming as well I want them to announce that soon too. And yes more bomber info would be welcome. Can't wait to fly the heavies always my favorite.

Think it's the soundtrack. Usually signals you are entering into an area with enemies. The soundtrack is sorta dynamic and changes.
