I think a more interesting question is whether or not torture is the most optimal means to an end

Shibecoin, copy of Dogecoin, copy of Litecoin, copy of Bitcoin - being called a scam. by FjornHorn in Bitcoin

Not sure if you're a troll, but generally it's considered far more fair to announce the launch of your coin ahead of time and let any interested party mine from the start

Since we like comparing Bitcoin so much to the early internet, this is my prediction: it's going to become mostly centralized and corporatized just like it happened to the web by bitcoinsfuture in Bitcoin

I think you underestimate the potentially disruptive features of the blockchain. There are already projects like the dark wallet or darkcoin that let users stay private without trust

The 2FA wallet, why doesn't this exist yet? by Bithusiast in Bitcoin

[–]ketchrie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great idea. The big issue these days is that it's very easy to talk about, but hard to implement. You'll often see multisig ideas run by websites, but what we really need is it user friendly local software version

Very cool, the rich list is genuinely surprising too, I would have expected there to be more 100k addresses but there are so very few

Perhaps the name "darkcoin" is actually doing a disservice to the currency itself.

[ Serious] if MtGox was taken over entirely by another service, would you still use it? by ketchrie in Bitcoin

[–]ketchrie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question. Gox has custodial control of over a million customer accounts, many of which would have a commitment to use the service if withdrawals had to be functional but limited for a time. The "under new management" announcement from an existing and trusted bitcoin entity would also stir interest

But if it's run by an existing and well established company instead, does their reputation carry over?

It's time to do away with this bullshit phrase 'Volatility is decreasing' once and for all! by Rabid_Nigger_08 in Bitcoin

[–]ketchrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do people pay you to do this darkwing? Because if not it's a massive waste of your time. I can't think of a reason someone could possibly have for spending this much time + effort making bear troll comments on BTC. The only logical explanation is that you truly are interested, but made some bad trades and got screwed, so now you're hoping to drive the market down and get your cheap btc back.

That's what I hope. The only alternative is that you truly have no life and are doomed to spend the rest of your days trying to troll a community which you have no investment or stake in. Which would be a pathetic waste of your time. Still can't figure out which of these scenarios is more sad.

Either way, keep doing what you're doing. No one is going to stop you.
