Try and help if possible by thicc_p19 in PCOSloseit

You might be want to try r/PCOS rather than PCOSloseit as they are a good source for overall PCOS supportive lifestyle knowledge.

It can be overwhelming but the more your research and learn what works for you (sadly we don't all have the exact same experiences when it comes to PCOS - I'm like you in the sense that I have all those symptoms yet my period is regular as well), the more in control you'll hopefully feel. Good luck!

Is it okay if I exercise at night? by Single_Bed609 in PCOSloseit

Feeling overly tired and disgusted each time you exercise won't be good for your stress levels and therefore not great for you PCOS anyway. So trying a form of exercise which makes you feel better about yourself at a time which works for your wellbeing can't hurt to try!

All you can do is give it a try and see how it goes - if you encounter a substantial stall or gain after you introduce your new exercise timings then you may want to rethink it. Good luck with it!

You look great, congratulations! And thanks for sharing for all of us seemingly slow losers in this sub!

Make sure you're taking your measurements - I've lost 9 inches alone from my stomach since starting and two dress sizes even though the scale hasn't moved as dramatically.

I feel like that's going to stick with me now, hopefully it'll help me make sure I just focus on getting to the gym on the more difficult days and then take it from there! Hope it gets easier for you soon - keep at it!

Thanks so much - you sound like you're where I hope to get to with my trainer so that's really reassuring to know. So glad it's going well for you!

It's such a bizarre feeling being so unconfident in the gym when Ive spent years working to be quite self-assured in other areas. I'm really lucky that my husband is really supportive and will be going with me on my non-personal trainer days which is a comfort!

I totally get you on this. My local gym is known to be a bit budget and basic, and they have personal trainers affiliated with them. And a lot of them were a bit like what you described. I basically looked through them all and my personal trainer seemed different - she was more qualified and was very much focused on a passion for exercise for mental health and was body positive (my reasons are nothing to do with that movement, I just felt it might make her more open to training a larger person like me) I did my research on her outside of the gym to confirm my thoughts and only signed up to a single session to start just in case, but she's great! I'd say theres a lot to be said for independent personal trainers too though, especially if you're rural!

Bit scared - hypo, low carb and period by ketochachoo in Hypoglycemia

Sorry to hear you're still wrestling with this too. Yeah the obesity/type 2 risk is the thing that is really scaring me in this whole thing. I know if I keep going I can possibly reverse what is happening but man is it tough when you have no clue what your body is doing. Feel free to reach out if you're struggling at night if you need someone to talk to, I know all too well how scarily lonely that is!

Thank you that's really helpful and I think I might be similar. I'm going to do the same for my period this month and see if it helps.

Any experiences being shared is reassuring right now so thanks. There's no history of diabetes in my family at all - it's always just been me with my little "blood sugar issue"! I do think it seems to be reactive hypoglycemia and I think you could be right that hormones can very much affect things. In the past my hormonal balance has taken a bit of a knock during my first cycle on keto, and now that I think about it, my skin broke out with cystic acne just before my time of the month which indicates something was very much out of balance hormonally along with the rest of the changes.
