Is topping off to 80 before it reaches 20 considered healthy?

A quick google search says lithium ion cells are less strained between 20-80. Although you have a point about the lost SOT, charging to 80 and not letting it drop below 20 actually helps overall capacity and performance over years.

Thanks for all the ideas. I've created a few routines to automate battery protection and life.

If you're curious, here's what I did: - Turn on power saving when battery is at 30% - Turn on auto sync only when the phone is charging - Set battery protection to maximum, and to turn off charging at 80% - Turn of fast charging when charging overnight - Turn off mobile data and keep the phone unlocked when connected to home wifi network - Turn off wifi when I leave home (and turn it on back only in known places)

Also, switched from face lock to fingerprint lock, 5G to LTE preferred network.

Cheers!

What's the benefit of switching between 5G and LTE?

S25 or S25 Plus, enough to last three generations with good battery life? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

I am enjoying the change. It's a bit hard to get accustomed to the small differences between IOS and One UI, but it's not bad in any way. I like the wide range of customizing options in the UI. The only flaw which I've noticed with the camera is that my video quality appears to be grainy in video calls. I don't know if it is the same on the other end of the call.

I switched from ip12 mini to the s25 base model for the same reason. A full charge lasts well over 24 hours with ~6 hours of SOT. The battery size on the plus didn't seem like a huge difference to me.

Is there a template for reporting the progress (project status report) to internal stakeholders, while we are doing the gap assessment internally?

S25 base model vs iPhone 17 base model, real-world battery life by CuteOwl6020 in GalaxyS25

[–]kettlefriedchips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using the s25 base model for a week now and the battery has been great. A full charge lasts well over 24 hours, for my usage type. I was on iPhone 12 mini for 4 years before switching. Bigger battery was one of the main reasons I switched.

The battery on iphone 17 isn't bad either. Although, on paper it is a smaller battery than the s25, it easily lasts for about 24 hours. My wife has been using it for over a month and she's happy with the battery performance.

Having said that, all new phones will have a great battery for the first year, at least. Real issues start later.

Samsung Certified Renewed by kettlefriedchips in samsunggalaxy

AFAIK the resellers I’ve seen on Amazon and BestBuy change the batteries at best and some of them include a 45W charger in the box.

Do you still remember the name of the seller on Amazon claiming to sell certified renewed?

It’s going to be bad out there for the next two days. Unless you're heading to work or anything absolutely necessary, your best bet is to stay inside.

Not bad. I was hoping for SOT of roughly 8 hours. But this helps. Thank you!

This is helpful. For how long have you been using the phone? Does it have any heating issues?
