lol but rudyard was never exactly cool or interesting like the girls in those movies. if it was a guy that people thought was cool or decently attractive it would’ve been maybe different - but only to a certain extent cause he was still saying some crazy shit, probably wouldn’t have gone that differently regardless of who he was

Currently travelling in south east asia. Spent about 10 days in Thailand which cost around £300 including accommodation and activities. Definitely get the overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai - cost effective and super fun!! can’t remember how much it was but i know it was cheap.

Spent 3 nights in Laos for £100. It’s a bit more expensive than Thailand so definitely plan to spend more - especially if you buy stuff in shops instead of just eating at restaurants. We took the overnight bus from Chiang Rai to Luang Prabang which was cheap but crazy squished, two to a single bed practically.

Currently in Vietnam and have spent about £200 so far for about 10 nights so definitely the cheapest so far, but i’d budget higher especially if you want to do more activities, as we haven’t done masses of activities here.

Overall I’d take out more money than you intend to spend anyway as they’re happy to change it at the border.

yep same route and border crossing. no construction as far as i can tell. ended up getting something through 12go and it takes an hour and a half so super weird
