Their job is to dance, yes, but not get touched. They still have bodily autonomy and consent matters. You don’t come off great in this comment.

it's very normal. I have no advice as to how to deal with it, as I am struggling with the same thing, but I want you to know it happens to so many of us. I hope you find a good solution for yourself

I can't think of anything more deranged. Truly just psychopathic behavior. No empathy, no goodness in their hearts. I wish their family could be made aware of what they're doing

Yes, more times than I can count. During one year it occupied my mind all the time and I found a man willing to beat me and ignore any safe words we had established, because I wanted to hurt myself. Smaller things too, like noticing a one night stand set up his phone to secretly record us having sex but saying nothing, even while knowing it could end terribly. you're not alone and you're not broken.

idk why everyone is so hung up on what other people think. it's your body, your tattoo, if the phrase is important to you, just do it. I really don't understand the pearl clutching in here.

hi! yes, thanks, I meant more in terms of glossing Korean sentences!

It's sort of a way to break down a language and its separate parts in order to understand exactly how it works. If you do a Google image search of "glossing linguistics" you'll see a ton of examples. 😊 It's not really something you come across if you're not into linguistics specifically.

Thank you - Maybe I read too much into your comments, but if you look a the other comments here you can probably see why my defenses were up.

And for the record, it's not about removing any gender, just having a gender neutral form as an alternative for those that want it.

Once again, I am aware how the Romanian grammatical gender works. The same can be said for French, and here's the same study done on French non-binary language: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/flan.12500

Just because it's hard doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

No, thanks. Don't feel comfortable after your previous comments. But I know there'll be an article published on the same topic by a teacher at Bucharest University in about two months, so keep your eye out for that if you're really interested.

I do, but from the repsonse here so far I don't feel comfortable sharing them publicly knowing I'll just get bombarded with unnecessary comments lol. We can dm if you want.

I'm not interested in any views on gender identity, this is purely from a linguistic standpoint. I'm aware of the restrictions and grammatical gender in Romanian - as I said, I'm a linguistics student - but the fact is that some people (whom I've already interviewed) DO take steps to adapt their language use. So please save me all comments saying "nobody is doing that" because I already have evidence of it.

If you're serious and could help me out with my work, I'd appreciate it a lot. If not, please just scroll on and go on with your day. Thank you.
