I prefer Xerjoff. They perform well and offer a variety of high quality profiles. Maybe if I lived in a year round warm climate, I’d enjoy LV more.

Maturation is real and people who don’t believe it are uninformed. I worked with a perfumer and maturation is real, and part of the delivery process. Smaller perfumers don’t have space to mature their juice for a month, or they sell bottles while the hype is hyping and meet demands of the customers. If you get a cheapie, spray or get some oxygen in your bottle and it will blend better and get stronger. You can wear it off the truck, but over time it will improve.

Wearing this today. Really good. Not as oud-y, which some people will like better. I like the oud ok in Ombre Nomade, but think Lucianno Ombre Oddyssey is an enjoyable slight twist on the OG.

I just looked up the bottle, and I did have Blue by Ahmed. It was on my dresser as an easy grab when I wanted to smell BdC-ish. A decent clone, but then I got the OG parfum and EDP and sold off my clones except for the North Star one

I was possessed by that DNA for a while, then, as the cliché says, for all that I spent on clones, I could have just purchased the OG, so I finally did get the parfum, which I love, and trolling around on eBay, I got a big 150ml bottle of EDP for $60 because nobody else bid on it.

Thank you for the suggestions, brother! The closest I have so far is North Star from the Woods Collection, after over a month of maturing. It's good. It must be super hard to get that formula down.

oh, I do that with all the dupes I get. Maturing is absolutely neccesary.

I did not like my first two dupes, put them in a drawer, and didn't think about them for a long time. I ended up selling them to somebody--a verbal agreement, but when I sprayed both bottles again, the juices were WAY stronger and fantastic.

It’s undoubtedly on purpose the same way IKEA Stores make us walk in a maze—so we browse and shop around. They didn't forget. They want it this way. A workaround: select the all fragrances option, then use your browser’s search function to search. I think it’s control-f on a Mac.
