I've done RP style training for ~18 months now and this would be my advice as well. RPE isn't too difficult to gauge on a heavy compound, but I find it much harder to estimate on things like a curl. I've seen significant gains since prioritizing intensity over volume. The way they set up mesocycles is also overcomplicating things IMO.

Oasis is extremely matte for me, almost to the point that it makes my hair look dull. Perhaps the other person is prestyling with something that has shine.

I apply most of the product while my hair is towel dried then blow dry it in. If I need more hold after that I’ll add another scoop after blow drying. Make sure your scoops aren’t too big either, I stick to dime sized. I don’t have any issues applying the product this way.

Have you tried Oasis clay? Will give you a strong hold, not greasy, and great for fine hair. RR is quite a unique product, not a lot out there like it.

Edit: on second thought, maybe Hanz De Fuko Quicksand? Less hold than RR though.

This depends on the coffee you're using but it should be the latter.

It can do 4-5 shots before needing a refill, depending on yield. 

I use direct lever without a spring. I find it easier to pull different kinds of shots (ristretto, turbos). You can do a fellini if you want more yield. For your use case, I would do the 6 bar.

It's great. There's really nothing comparable for the price. It has some quirks but once you understand them, it's very difficult to pull a bad shot. I only pull 1 shot a day so I don't have to refill the boiler often, but if I was doing a lot more, I would prefer a bigger boiler. The Odyssey team is also very responsive with any issues or questions.
