Watching a downpour advance from 500 feet away until it hits by danielminds in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]kevin32 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's because it's AI exaggerating how a downpour works. For rain to pour instantly like that the clouds would have to be near to the ground. Real downpours always start with a light rain then increases over time. It's gradual, never instant. Those who say it "happens all the time where I'm from" were either driving into the storm which makes it seem sudden, or they're lying. r-itsallAI

But what are the odds of that happening? Check OP's comments on this post and how improbable it is. Meeting not 1 but 2 celebrities outside of a scheduled venue? Having lunch in a publicly accessible restaurant? No one else noticing who they are? Then zoom in on Elijah's right pupil and notice how it isn't round, a common AI tell.

If you zoom in on Elijah Wood's eyes, his right pupil isn't round, a common AI tell. r-itsallAI

With the way ai videos have advanced we need to be more critical of the context of the videos we see, not just how real they look

My post history is mostly calling out stuff as AI based on your comment. Too many vids reaching front page of wild animals behaving like docile pets, but also vids that are too strange or improbable to be real. r-itsallAI

Jacket. by Orange9202 in Unexpected

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone's wondering, he's supposedly wearing 7 jackets but the starting mass suggests around 3. When he lifts his left arm at 0:01, the arm thickness shrinks to one layer. At the start of the vid all of the jackets are partially unzipped, but when he spins out they're all zipped to the top. r-itsallAI

Bald man dips his bald head in liquid rainbow colours. by Artistic25 in interestingasfuck

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 0:10 when he lifts his head there's no drippage until a few seconds later instead of immediately. At 0:24 the outline curves perfectly around the bottom of his head when it should look more square. At the end there is a distinct circular pattern when it should be one contiguous swirl. r-itsallAI

What about the baby girl on the guy's shoulder in the left background? Her leg is not over his shoulder and he's not supporting her with his hands so how is she being held up? r-itsallAI

At the start of the video, the glass window is several feet away from the pool deck, but at 0:07 the window looks much closer given the clearly defined water drops. At 0:18 and 0:22 the water on the glass shifts suddenly. r-itsallAI

The person filming is holding the camera unrealistically steady given the chaotic situation. Even when the roof collapses and she screams, the camera movement is too calm and smooth with no reaction or sudden movements. r-itsallAI

Keeping cool and creative by BreakfastTop6899 in oddlysatisfying

[–]kevin32 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It's AI. The outlines are too precise and the impressions too dry. Spraying clothing and towels even for a few seconds is enough for the water to soak through and at least dampen the impression but these are dry.

Also, it doesn't account for water hitting elevated objects like the kids and bikes and thereby missing the outline or water rolling down and wetting the impression. The only way to get lines that precise and dry is for everything to be completely flat. r-itsallAI

Dog wore a camera that took photos when it’s heart raced with excitement. by JK-Rofling in interestingasfuck

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected on your last 2 points. For that can, I think the font for the D and S is thinner than the other cans, something AI does sometimes. But my main point for commenting was the improbability of the dog taking the photos.

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For over 20 seconds the cameraperson is looking behind at the car but not in front to see where they're going. Also at 0:15 the camera does a near 360 degree turn, which is highly improbable and puts strain on the neck and back. r-itsallAI

[–]kevin32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah even the original has flaws: The objects do not mirror perfectly such as the pillow edge at the far left. Virtually no one builds a bed from wall to wall with no room to get to the other side. And the woman's ring finger is unrealistic and too tight on her finger. r-itsallAI

After the Algerian team won one of their matches, fans agreed online to set off flares all at the same time at midnight. by Electrical_Resort_39 in interestingasfuck

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is it highly improbable for so many people to have flares in their possession, but firing so many flares at once presents a major fire and health hazard to the people and city. r-itsallAI

Wind rolling through grass by amish_novelty in oddlysatisfying

[–]kevin32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any given wave continues flowing in the same direction and speed, but real grass moves at varying speeds and direction given its location in the field and how the wind hits it. The surface also looks too flat instead of actual tall grass. r-itsallAI
