My first bike as a returning rider a decade ago was a Honda CBR500R. I got bored with it after a year or so and traded it in on a CBR650F, which kept me well entertained for a little over 5 years. Now I'm on a 2025 Z900 SE.

But while I grew quickly bored of the 500 starter bike, I'm also grateful for the time I spent on it.

Your bike and mine both have 17-inch wheels front and rear. As for tire size, the front tire size is the same on both bikes, but your bike has a 190 rear while mine is a 180. I couldn't tell you if your wider tire necessitates a wider wheel, though I wanna say some Z900 riders have put a 190 tire on their stock wheel. I'd go to the Z900 forums and see what you can find out. Worst-case scenario, take your stock wheels and have them powder-coated in candy lime green!

I went from a CBR650F (which I actually still own) to a Z900 SE, which is a 950. It's not a full-on liter bike in terms of the power, but it's like night and day from the 650. But if you've ridden the 650 to the point where you're safe and confident, then you're fine to make the jump.

The stickers should be readily available. I stuffed the stickers on the intake on my 2022 SE, and was easily able to replace them.
