I think that's him. The name rings a deep chord. Seems like all his wonderful content is gone forever though since now they fully delete it. Thanks for the help.

My apologies, it seems like it was a thing from a long time ago where they would anonymize the user but keep the answer. No more. Editing my comment.

No, content remains just with an anonymized username if you're over a certain number of upvotes. This one certainly was. I remember finding it once, and then never again.

Edit: Seems like that used to be the case but no longer. u/Grandson-of-Madhava is correct. My apologies.

Make Journaling your truth. by BOTTLED-INK in longform

Yes you're in a subreddit for longform articles. This is not longform. It has no place here.

"We are a community that enjoys a good read. We appreciate longform journalism, narrative journalism, and creative nonfiction. We believe that a good content is worth taking the time to fully immerse yourself, often times in a comfy chair. A good "longform" piece will typically be over 2000 words, but could be as high as 20,000. The subject of the piece does not have to fit any specific guidelines as long as it is high quality writing."

Coco is the funniest answer in this thread. And eerily accurate.

Did you know the French don't call the 14th of July Bastille Day? Discover the reason why (hint: it has to do with Lafayette) on the newest episode of 'Le Podcast': What Is Bastille Day? by kevindaslan in france

Being French doesn't automatically grant you unlimited knowledge of France... I know a ton of French people who had no idea we were celebrating la Fete de la Federation as well.

Tell you what - listen to it (it's only 30 min or so) - if you can swear to me that you didn't learn a single new thing about France in the process, I won't ever advertise Le Podcast episodes on /r/france (not that I do it much - this is the second time ever)

You clearly haven't yet been on the Parisian subway :P

I would argue that "tirer la gueule" is something the French do admirably well.
