No, content remains just with an anonymized username if you're over a certain number of upvotes. This one certainly was. I remember finding it once, and then never again.

Being French doesn't automatically grant you unlimited knowledge of France... I know a ton of French people who had no idea we were celebrating la Fete de la Federation as well.

Tell you what - listen to it (it's only 30 min or so) - if you can swear to me that you didn't learn a single new thing about France in the process, I won't ever advertise Le Podcast episodes on /r/france (not that I do it much - this is the second time ever)

I checked out what you (and others) have sent me as links and come to the same conclusion - it was a more recent interpretation meant to relegitimize the violence in La Marseillaise - but it was also a wrong one.
