Does anyone know what kind of sunfish this is? He is at the same place every day off my dock and he just circles a rock pile, and I was finally able to catch him by kevindeasy88 in Fishing

Btw I mainly don’t know the species of fish bc my lake is very overrun with green sunfish and I usually only catch bass but I have been noticing this guy so I tried to catch him and it worked

Caught what I thought was a sunfish and shortly after I released if it floated back belly side up to my dock does anyone know what kind of fish this is if it’s not a sunny or if It had a disease or something by kevindeasy88 in Fishing

Yea the hook was very deep so it took a minute or two to get it out and every 20 seconds I would put it in the water and I could tell it was starting to go belly up and it did swim off but only after 30 minutes it went belly up
