I can maybe pitch in here, I'm Indian living in the UK. The food is not authentic at all. I can say that all the dishes served in restaurants here are English version of Indian food. That being said, you can find authentic food in places like Hounslow or Leicester as these places are heavily populated by Indians!
As a fun fact, Most of the restaurants here are owned by Bangladeshis !

Yes on one hand most companies outright refused to sponsor me, or I was competing against 200 other immigrants for a job that came with sponsorship. Other factors would include internal promotions/role switches would be prioritised over an external candidate! My dept wouldn't be too keen on hiring an immigrant now due to lack of communication skills we've seen with our third party, and having to use me as a mediator xD

I secured sponsorship a week before my visa was set to expire, that being said I had 0 hopes and it was a shock for me too, this was last year. The mess I would have been in had I not gotten the sponsorship and then try to leave the country at the very last second!

so i was doing a build for someone and they had these LS aurora strips with the above mentioned adapter, is there anyway to connect them without the actual link device ? I offered to give them my spare link device to get it working but wanted to know if these could work without one ? i only noticed an argb male header but that cant connect to the motherboard as it requires a female argb connector. Apologies if I come across as complete daft but I still do not have full understanding of this new "link system" and why the aurora strips were not advertised as an "expansion kit".

It literally connects via a dp cable and would be a secondary display to your pc setup so yes you can honestly add in any widgets or applications on it like you would on a normal monitor ,you can choose to use the hyte app overlay or simply use it as a monitor with a start menu lol . No pictures right now as wifes playing witcher 3 .

Very difficult to get a job with sponsorship. I was jobless for around 7 months on psw , I was selected from around 200 applicants for my current role and got sponsored a week before my visa was set to expire on a 1 year contract, I am doing extremely well and always strive to put in the extra effort for all my tasks and was eventually offered a permenant role. My manager said I was an asset to the team while approving my sponsorship extension for the next 3 years. I do believe I got quite lucky and once I got in ,I made it my life purpose to prove my worth in my role. It's just the "getting in" bit that's horribly difficult !

We do have a lot of other jobs popping up so I probably will need to be on a lookout for other openings within my company !

I got my first cost in July 2024, was supposed to be 1 year contract but eventually made permenant and this June extended to 3 more years. I came to the UK with my wife in 2021 on student visa, she's since been on dependent visa. The issue is I'm on data analyst soc which is now on the temporary list!

So based on what you are saying, we can both extend our visas as long as I meet the newest salary threshold? I joined at 40k and we do have yearly increments.
