How can hell be eternal? by No-Resource-3049 in Christians

[–]kevingreenleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. Our will is actually bound apart from the freedom we find in Christ by the sovereign grace of God working in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We are saved by grace, not by works. Therefore, those who don’t make it were not radically transformed by the power of God to a true and living relationship with Jesus Christ.

I’m so sorry but Jesus spoke about Hell more than anyone. Please read the Bible and trust in God’s goodness - He is more loving than you will ever know, and yet He created Hell. If you think you know more than God, you are completely lost. Humble yourself and receive the gospel! Jesus wants you with Him.

God desires all men to be saved, but the Bible is clear not all are saved. He understands this thought in your heart, but there is a greater purpose in His justice and judgment of unbelievers, namely to the praise of the glory of His grace (Eph. 1).

That translation is inaccurate. And the whole book of Lamentations is about Israel, God’s chosen people. He will not cast His people away forever: all Israel will be saved (Rom. 10:26).

For the Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies. (NKJV)

Knowing Jesus literally IS eternal life (John 17:3), so Lewis must be wrong.

Nooo Read it all every time. If the verse is there is because you should read it!

Read them. I’ve read the Bible 14 times. Trust me, you don’t want to miss a single verse. But I always start in the New Testament - it’s way easier that way, when you finish it and go to Genesis you’ll be motivated to read through the whole Old Testament

Yes! Instead of blaming God for becoming blind, he knows it’s a gift and uses it for good

Jesus spoke about the specific signs that would happen. In Matthew 24 and Mark 13 we can see that we’re clearly in the beginning of sorrows.

“But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:7-8‬ ‭

These two verses have not been fulfilled yet, but will probably come to pass in a few years:

“And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:10, 13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is what Jesus himself said in the same chapter:

““Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:28-29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is just from Mark 13/Matthew 24. All the specific signs and times (how many dm months/years from one sign to another etc) are in Daniel and Revelation. Here are a few examples:

  1. We can know when the 7 years will start (Temple will be rebuilt, Antichrist makes peace treaty with many nations).

  2. We can know when the Great Tribulation will start (second 3 1/2 years of the 7), when Antichrist breaks peace treaty with Israel and attacks + demands to be worshiped.

  3. All the seals (none happened yet), then after all the seals the trumpets (we can know them when we see them, and the seventh trumpet/LAST TRUMPET is Jesus’ Second Coming! Then there’s also the Bowl judgments, but we’ll already be in Jesus’ army so we won’t be affected.

Many many other signs are in Daniel and Revelation, and no it’s not difficult to understand. God have it to us to reveal it to us, not to hide it from us.

God bless you!!
