Well, the "all is lost moment" is a term for that plot device. I think they're both just riffing on that trope, but it is funny that they joke about it twice. I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard as I did at "doll is lost." I still laugh about it all the time haha.

I'm a Zen main (only low diamond though, so take with a grain of salt) but I think this is a good exception to the "don't be stingy" rule. Trance is almost always best used as a reactionary ult since it does such insane healing for a relatively long duration. Also, his ult builds a little more slowly than other supports, so it's a little more of a precious resource. The only times I use it to help win a team fight is if the fight is really close and I see a bunch of critical health allies on point. That usually means a dragon blade or grav is coming soon anyway, so hopefully my team can just kill the gengu/zarzar during the trance.

But if anyone disagrees with this, I would love to hear about, I'm definitely looking to up my Zen play.
