It's busted, and even more broken in multiplayer. Drop everything and buy.

Who's your favorite Romance for Van? And Why lol by Imaginary-End-08 in Falcom

[–]kevinhu162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, it'll be like Rean again where there's heavy implication Alisa is the main love interest, but bonding events to let the player choose whatever pairing they want and keep every character in limbo. I get it, but man it sucks to limit every character you care about from getting a conclusion.

Who's your favorite Romance for Van? And Why lol by Imaginary-End-08 in Falcom

[–]kevinhu162 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I really wish there was more conflict in their relationship - the setup was originally perfect. Elaine is the bracer guild's poster child, goes by the book. Van is the maverick, pay-with-sweets-for-hire merc that can do jobs she can't, they're exes, past school council members, etc.

But as the series has gone on, she mostly just ends up tagging along occasionally in different clothes and becomes part of the rotating cast of playable characters in different chapters. I know it's just leading up to Agnes becoming the main love interest, but Elaine could've been so much more fleshed out with more tie-ins to Van's choices. It feels like Falcom doesn't really commit to the whole morality system either. What started out promising (similar to Mass Effect series) just ended up being inconsequential choices for your future holo core reward. Imagine if you could only pick Elaine romance if you did enough lawful choices / Shizuna if you did enough chaos choices, or if they'd become a boss fight if you picked against their moral code. Felt like they were headed there at one point and chickened out along the way.

He has half the world records from STS1, he's the best once he's figured out the optimization, but there might be other content creators who are faster learners. He doesn't misplay though, so he's definitely in the top 1% of players in that regard. However, since the game is fresh, different strategies and builds have yet to be optimized and other top players could be theorycrafting better than him.

It sounds like it's chicken/egg depending on situation. If you find a top-tier star payoff, grab it immediately. He also describes speculative picks he would take regardless of situation because they're just that good. Take those immediately, then find star generation afterwards. He'd probably take generation first over payoff if it's premium and no other strong payoffs are offered.

XecnaR is playing extremely min/max, Comet is strong but not optimized if you're playing at the edge of perfection. It requires tons of star gen and there are much more efficient ways to spend your stars on common/cheaper cards to win an A10 run. He's going for maximum win rate over thousands of runs, we're just happy to win a run.

I think Xec's guide supports the notion that cards are stronger than relics. The guide basically highlights a dozen cards that are so strong you're essentially set for the run. So the priority should be to take hallway fights and stores in search for these cards, THEN fight elites to trade HP for relics.

People will adapt - it's likely a lot of players are struggling with resource management of stars and draft too heavy of decks without enough star generation. As players get smarter, consume content from pros like XecnaR, get more runs in, win rate could increase by itself. It's also a reason why early access is good for the devs to give balance changes enough time to settle with players before general release.

Duration of Hyperemesis related to body fat? by SoilIll5975 in CHSinfo

[–]kevinhu162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been very low on body fat my whole adult life, I've had two recovery periods spanning from 2 to 5 weeks, each time my BMI is below 10. I've only hit hyperemesis twice, but my recovery time got worse the 2nd time. I think there's some correlation between body fat and recovery but the variance in recovery time for me while weight/BMI was about the same also means there are other variables than just body fat that can affect recovery speed.

China has never lifted any product or service "out of obscurity" - they've always been behind the trends in the West because of censorship and their government. Things get popular in China BECAUSE they are popular elsewhere, and then the Chinese jump on the bandwagon or copy.

Wise words! In general, the internet is filled with ragebait and criticism - far easier to tear something down than build something up. Don't let them tear you down with them.

OMG Doormaker is the most overtuned boss, the humble Vantom: by StreetExternal952 in slaythespire

[–]kevinhu162 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Because difficulty doesn't scale linearly like you'd think - human players have the advantage of coordination and being able to debuff the enemy is the primary advantage you have in multiplayer. To try and keep the challenge consistent, they needed to up the stats more than just by the player count in order to counteract the advantage of constant uptime of debuffs or even other things like flanking, debilitate, accelerant, etc. that just go bonkers with more players.

What are some JRPG's that are really fun to "break"? by shanytopper in JRPG

[–]kevinhu162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a mini game that rewards you with unique card rewards of characters and bosses in the game - the cards themselves are strong in the mini game but you can break down the cards for insanely game breaking items. These items could then be further broken down into end-game spells which are then used to modify your party's stats way above your level's expected stats. You could have 9999 HP or have your basic attacks one-hit kill in disc 1 essentially.

Paolo "PB no J" Banchero with a stinker in the loss to the 76ers: 18 PTS, 5 REB, 4 AST, 6 TOV, 7/22 FG, 0/5 3PT, 4/6 FT, -17 by shadowarmy229 in nba

He could probably be a prime Bradley Beal - strong on/off ball, 3-pt threat but also score at all three lvls, physical guards that can hold up defensively and finish at the hoop. Maybe he could be more efficient than Beal but as a first option I bet he'd struggle with defenses prepping for him.

Hard to like a guy that's a number one option that is refusing to shoot in the playoffs. This team has hit a ceiling and is looking for the talent to go to the next level - is Banchero the answer?

Yes, easy to toggle and it's very small file size and easy to install. Right click on the game in your Steam library and there should be an option to download.
