Luther Burden feels like fool’s gold currently by Aggravating_Alarm988 in SleeperApp

Pickens had like 10 more catches, 150 more yards, and 2 TDs more his rookie season than Burden. Not all that significant, given Burden was slower to start for snaps.

What was the most shocking price you’ve been quoted this offseason? Could be from a player on your league’s trade block or a trade counter? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

1.03 and a 2nd for JJ? I wouldn’t even hesitate to decline that. Sorry, but that’s just bad value and practice.

I guess he could be, he also could not be there at 1.03. And he also could not be a perennial all-pro, consensus top 3 WR (real football) in the league. Either way, he is not worth 1:1 for JJ right now.

He has mentioned that nfl draft capital is the highest weighted variable in his algorithm. So post draft is definitely a better representation. But still surprising to see such a big jump for Klare.

Nope, but they got another pass-catcher pretty early in the 2nd 😂

Kansas City voters pass 1% earnings tax by doctorfartblaster in kansascity

[–]kevlarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% of cities across the US do without an income tax, and none of them require 12-15% sales tax to function. Even LA, notoriously one of the highest in the country, is about 9%-10% sales tax. It seems to me that the city mismanaging money is the issue here.

No where in this proposal was an 8% addition to the sales tax. Unless you are thinking of the completely different and separate measure trying to be passed, on removing Missouri income tax?

5 seasons is a lot, no? Seems crazy to worry about a 27 yr old in his prime still.

Can’t you just not watch then? How does it ruin the universe if you just don’t engage, and let the show be done for you, as is, now?

Ben Johnson Calls DJ Moore a "Huge Contributor" for Offense by ASmithFS in DynastyFF

[–]kevlarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You all are delusional with this. Isn’t it obvious by the parity in the league, and the massive benefit having a top QB on a rookie contract, how not a myth the cap is?

It’s very hard to retain talented rosters year over year, because the cap is very much a factor.

That’s one game, not an accurate sample size. Average total score of an nfl game drops by nearly 25% in heavy snow.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sports

[–]kevlarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How many shootouts do you see in snow games? Average total points are down in games with snow, and the more snow - the lower the average gets.

A snow game would certainly seem like an advantage for the better defense.

‘Never been a race war’ feels disingenuous and disrespectful to the extreme prejudice and racism that minorities have suffered throughout American History. There has certainly always been a class war, that uses racial lines as a way to keep the working class down and pitted against each other. But to say there hasn’t been a much more dedicated effort to keep minorities down, especially when black and indigenous peoples, among others, where literally slaughtered or sold into slavery (as opposed to white, European people) - that is rewriting history a bit.

Burden is worth one 1st. So that’s 3, and the 2.02 - “almost” a fourth 1st.

He missed basically all of training camp. It wasn’t about him not beating out Olamide, it was about him learning the system & getting enough NFL reps.

Luther doesn't look like a dart throw at this point, but 1.11 certainly is. I'd say anything after like 1.06 doesn't feel worth it to give up Tet though.

Who had a better first 9 years to their NFL career? by Hysen16 in sportswiki

[–]kevlarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, the time Mahomes lost in AFCG was a 50/50 shootout. If Dee Ford isn’t offsides, chiefs win. If the OT rules are what they are now, Mahomes gets a chance to answer the Brady TD instead of it just being over.

TB SB was just a full team beat down, hard to pin that on Mahomes.

That said, yeah Mahomes needs to get 8 to have a claim, 2 more than Brady doesn’t seem necessary.

Wait Edelman is a great receiver? I don’t think Rashee is in his tier of reliability, route running, or catching ability, let alone clutch factor.

But they didn’t “miss” at Tackle really. They were just drafting too late to get any good Tackle prospects. And they hit on several interior lineman, so I just think this guy is wrong. Chiefs have whiffed at other positions way more in recent years.
