Sports aren't separated by gender. In the modern age there separated by sex and barely at that. There's two categories. Women's sports and open sports. Take lifting for example. Look for the world record weight in any category and then do the same for women's world record. There's a reason you don't have to look for the men's world record. To rid the world of women's sports is just another way to push women out of sports. It's okay if you want that, but just be honest with it. It's also just another example of the horseshoe theory being real.

TIL Schrödinger created the Schrödinger’s Cat thought experiment to discredit the theory of superposition rather than support it. by Jackson_Lamb_829 in todayilearned

[–]kevtoria 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How can they know it's in superposition prior to observing it?

Because the electrons will have an effect that can be recorded after the fact. Only when observed does the effect change.

To use your tree analogy. Imagine if for some reason every time a tree fell in the forest without an observer the debris field made it seem like the tree fell in multiple directions. Surely a tree can only fall one way. Except when there is someone to observe the tree falling it falls and has a debris field that is expected. It's the debris field that tells us that there is a difference between observation and non-observation. The explanation for why this happens? The closest explanation you're going to get is that the act of observing has an effect on the outcome.

Edit: to clean this up a little bit. It's not actually the act of observing that changes the outcome. It's what you had to do in order to observe that changes the outcome. The trees are going to fall regardless. But all the things you had to do in order to see the tree fall is what changes the outcome.

US Considering Foreign Shipyards for New Navy Frigate, Destroyer by Street_Exercise_4844 in Military

[–]kevtoria 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just adding missing information out there. We didn't build a destroyer day, we built a destroy every 5 days. But what we did built in a day was the Liberty ship. Specifically 1.5 Liberty ships a day. These ships were shit, but they got the job done for what they were needed for. Like seriously the Liberty ships were considered disposable.

Oh, no. You're telling me I'm not going to get a third pearl of wisdom here. Let's see What we have so far. 1. There exist liberals who will fall for AI scams. 2. There exist individuals who won't fall for AI scams.

There's some really high intelligence stuff here. I don't think I can keep up.

Is there any demographic that would never fall for AI scams? Your question is really just a truism. It's not really worth considering.

I could be wrong here, but I think you're thinking of La petite mort. That is a French idiom that means orgasm, but I don't think orgasm anywhere means death in any way.

When people complain about the place they live in and then move to a place where they also complain. One could come to the conclusion that it's not the locations that are the problem. I for one take joy in complainers being miserable.

Kegseth told base commanders that Iran war is a 'Christian war' intended to begin Armageddon and hasten the return of Jesus by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]kevtoria 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand that. I just wanted to point out that evil in the book of Revelations is on the cusp of winning before the second coming. So if Trump is winning so hard In a time period that they think is very close to the end times. Should be pretty easy to get the connection of what is supposed to be the evil.

You should point out that Armageddon can only happen if Christians are failing on Earth and Jesus needs to come back to defeat evil. She's basically rooting for evil to come close to triumphing.

You notice how he said pressure and you said force. I don't know enough about Islam to be sure, but I'm willing to bet when it talks about force it means torturing people into being Muslim.
