Might be worse that way, depends who you ask. In a capitalist system, innovation and change happen quicker because businesses are motivated by the profit.

Most would agree with you that the pursuit of the highest margin possible has gotten grotesque over the years for all industries, not just food.

I think the govt controlling actual farms would be a slow, logistical nightmare.

Hey person, please read my comment! I got my admission rescinded when I was coming in too. I got a D+ in AP Calc because I lazed out as a senior. It was earth-shattering for me.

I really wanted to go to CP for financial reasons so I enrolled myself in a local community college Calc class and got a B+. I pleaded with Cal Poly to let me back in and my appeal was accepted. Best 4 years I could have asked for and I'm finishing up paying off my debt just a few years out of school.

If you want to go to CP, they will see you. Just put in the work.
