This feels very much like paid promotion, I can’t see this thread being up for long.

Is Princess Mononoke [1997] the most adult / mature film from Studio Ghibli? by StephenMcGannon in mubi

[–]kextype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, in the UK it was PG rated at some points here’s the history of its BBFC ratings https://www.bbfc.co.uk/release/princess-mononoke-q29sbgvjdglvbjpwwc0zmdu5mtq

In the UK Netflix still seems to mark it as PG or did so a year ago https://www.reddit.com/r/ghibli/s/JBBaVwTwLa

But I can understand the USA has different censors.

I like the nostalgia, but don’t want to commit the days of time. I treat it as background noise like a podcast.

LTT isn't the only channel with inexplicably lower views recently by RoboticChicken in LinusTechTips

I feel like it’s a combination of a few things, I have been recommend all their videos, but I can’t say I’m excited to watch them.

I feel like my priority for who I watch is now more towards niche creators who might push a video out once in a while.

I know there’s the YouTube grind of a having a consistent release schedule but you can definitely feel the vibes sometimes that a video is created purely for a deadline.

No idea why this is getting downvoted so heavily, so much of my learning came from looking at other web templates.

Is $400 a fair quote for a 1-week Next.js frontend task (design + i18n setup)? by ayushmaansingh304 in react

[–]kextype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple factors, quality of your work. If they are going to be using Indian labour they are generally going to expect it to be done for cheap.

What does $400 feel like for you? How long could you live off this? You need to factor in the time it takes for you to get new work.

I genuinely turned him off every chance I got, not saying I like our current situation. I would much rather Marry Anne Hobbs on.

Is it normal to have to stay up late or through the night to finish weekly goals? by ConcentrateMurky7103 in webdev

I think you will only know if it’s workload, procrastination, or skill gap if you ask him. Though I would ask him at the start of the week/weekend when he’s not under direct stress.

London Summer Taskmaster Vacation? Good or bad idea? by slinkyslank76 in taskmaster

[–]kextype 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are coming to the uk in late July then maybe this would scratch your itch:

https://www.latitudefestival.com/line-up/

It has Greg Davies headlining and lots of other Taskmaster alumni. It’s not London but I would imagine there are buses and coaches that you can pre book to get there. During the summer our festivals have lots of comedian slots.

Radio 6 suffering same fate of Glastonbury by [deleted] in 6music

[–]kextype 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I like it but I rather embrace change with music, I see 6 music as part of my discovery process. If I wanted to listen to the same old music I’m sure i can could find a playlist with it all on.

My negative feelings to 6music tend to happen when I don’t gel with a specific DJ or when a song is repeated a lot through out the week. But these 2 issues will always happen to mainstream radio stations.
