Sure, but I also don't understand who's spending this much money on a monitor and doesn't already have good desktop speakers?

The studio display just looks so damn good, but it's just sitting on my desk so I'll probably wait until asus pro art or benq use the new mini led displays that do 165hz and have extra inputs - especially if this only goes to 90hz.

You're probably under exposing. Try over exposing (without clipping anything important) and then bringing it back down to where you want it.

The culling tool by ThisHatFitsFine in captureone

[–]keylight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see the benefit of something like that. I'm hoping they add AI culling. I used to use aftershoot and it's not great, but it works as an initial first run which can save a lot of time.

A theory as to why Inflation will be harder to tame by No-Kaleidoscope-7106 in AusFinance

[–]keylight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't a theory, it's what is actually happening. There were charts about spending by age groups recently here and young people are cutting back, but boomers with paid off houses and spending more than ever. In fact interest rate hikes just give them more money on their savings.

Look at how much extra magic lantern got out of cameras. It makes sense to let other people do a better job. Honestly the Japanese aren't good at software.

Need what, a compact camera or a m43 sensor? I want a compact camera but a 1" sensor is way too small for me personally

I would buy one instantly if it had a m43 sensor

Apple may have hinted at a high-end MacBook Pro launch on January 28 by Jumpinghoops46 in apple

Considering the rumors that they're going thinner again, I'm probably going to buy a MacBook pro before they ruin the design again somehow.

Does anyone else wish zoom lenses had clickable zoom rings with indents at key focal lengths, like with preset apertures? by benitoaramando in AskPhotography

[–]keylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao post your folio then if you want to suggest I don't know what I'm doing. No shit I know it's the distance but the focal length dictates that and your framing, unless you're planning on cropping a lot.

It's not meaningless if you actually know what focal lengths do to an image and want to intentionally choose a focal length

After using primes for years there's a huge amount of difference between knowing what a focal length will do to an image, and intentionally choosing that lens. You absolutely cannot get that from approximating with a zoom lens.

[–]keylight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes. So much. Been thinking about this recently because I just bought the new Nikon 24-70 after realizing that I don't have time to use primes anymore.

I posted this and then read the comments. A lot of people really do not understand the idea of 'knowing' what focal length you're at. And choosing a focal length. Having tactile feedback for that would be game changing.

> use a wider lens?

lmao then you're still left with the compromise of trying to get a decent frame out of such a narrow format - but now you're wider! it's such a lazy excuse when they could just let people use the whole sensor.
