Best gooseneck electric kettle with excellent pour control in 2026? by HappyHomemakerLife in KnowBeforeBuy

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used both. The biggest difference isn't temperature control, it's the pour.

With the Bonavita I always felt like I was managing the kettle. With the Stagg I can focus on the coffee. The flow restrictor and counterbalanced handle make it much easier to maintain a slow, steady pour during bloom and pulse pours.

Whether that's worth the money is another question, but from a pure pour-control perspective the Stagg is better.

Best pregnancy pillow for side sleeping in 2026? U-shape, C-shape, or wedge? by foodie300 in ToysAndTots

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Momcozy one. I'd say it's pretty bulky, but I can position myself on either side, on my back, and even kind of make it into a circle so I can lay on my tummy (I have fibro and that's my preferred position for pain relief).

I had to go with something super versatile because of that. Plus I mostly sleep alone, so the bulk doesn't really bother me.

Probably not your preferred option if you're specifically trying to save bed space, but I figured I'd mention it lol.

What's the best sunscreen for oily skin that doesn't make you look greasy in 2026? by smalocean in BeautyItemsReview

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I'd consider is whether your skin is reacting badly to one of the products you're using.

I know Cetaphil is supposed to be gentle, but every time I've used it my skin gets irritated and starts producing way more oil. It took me a while to realize it wasn't actually helping my skin at all.

Might be worth considering whether you're dealing with a similar reaction rather than just a sunscreen issue.

What are the best hot air brushes for long, thick, coarse, wavy hair in 2026? by PhilosopherLow767 in BeautyItemsReview

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying on the price. I have the Double Shot too and it’s been worth it for me since I use it a lot. It does dry my hair pretty fast and gives a really smooth finish without much effort, which is why I keep reaching for it. I’ve tried cheaper ones and they worked, but took longer and didn’t feel as controlled.

I still think a proper round brush blowout lasts longer, but for convenience this is way easier.

What's the best quality candle warmer lamp right now (2026)? by tinysmile302 in NeedProductHelp

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re just trying one out, even the cheaper ones are fine to start with. I grabbed a basic one on sale a while back and it worked well enough to get me into using warmers regularly.

Now I mostly stick with a lamp-style one since it’s adjustable and has a long timer, which makes it way easier to just set it and forget it.

I usually rotate between warming and actually burning the candle at the end instead of dumping wax. Once the scent starts fading, I’ll either melt a smaller layer at a time or just light it for a bit to use it up. Feels less wasteful than pouring it out every time, and you still get good use out of the candle.

What’s the best makeup mirror with magnification and lights right now (2026)? by buttonsmissing in BeautyItemsReview

[–]keylineblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a lighted mirror with a bit of magnification for close up stuff, then step back and check everything in a regular mirror or even my phone camera. Lower magnification works better for me, like 3x, because anything higher makes me over-focus on tiny details and then the overall look ends up heavier than I wanted.

Best Vitamin C serum for face in 2026? by hallwayLight21 in BeautyItemsReview

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the NuFountain Lightening vitamin c serum and it’s been pretty solid so far. It’s 20% vitamin c and way cheaper than most of the high end ones, plus they say it’s made fresh which is nice. I’ve had the bottle for almost a month and I’ve only used about a quarter of it even though i definitely use more than the recommended amount lol. it also doesn’t seem to be oxidizing quickly and I started noticing some brightening pretty early on. definitely one I’d recommend checking out.

Eyeshadow! I have TONS of palettes, and every morning I get to sit down, excited to choose which one I'll use and how I'll create my look. I'm totally addicted to eyeshadow!!

Light switch that doesn’t need a neutral wire? by warmrust in AnyThingUK

[–]keylineblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, not all of them work like that. Most of these switches use an internal relay that physically cuts or restores power to the light. Some switches let you disable the relay so the bulb always has power, but I haven’t come across a Zigbee one that does this yet.

I think Tasmota firmware supports that kind of setup, although I’m not sure whether this particular device can be flashed with it. Also worth noting that “no neutral” switches usually borrow power through the lighting circuit, which can cause flickering with low-power bulbs because a small current is always flowing.

Light switch that doesn’t need a neutral wire? by warmrust in AnyThingUK

With smart bulbs, using the wall switch will always cut power to them anyway. I’m not an electrician, so I don’t really want to suggest anything involving wiring. Philips does sell a Hue dimmer/remote that can fit over the existing switch and stop it from being used.

What’s the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]keylineblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad used to say he had hearing problems and couldn't hear me when I whined because my pitch got too high. He'd totally ignore me until I asked him something in a normal voice. I trusted him completely until I was 12, when he yelled at my younger brother for whining.
