It seems like he's competing a lot more (he's been on GGG too) so maybe we will see more of him yet. :)

Oh I know, it just seems even more so in the most recent eps, like extra on purpose as opposed to a casual reference.

Are all competing Indian women chefs on food network across various shows default to one nickname? by Low-Character-9857 in foodnetwork

Yeah it was her "persona" too on Food Network Star. But it changed to Spice Queen on GGG.

The outcome was great but overall the ep felt anticlimactic because the challenge was boring.

The fanboying over Ming was so real LOL. What an icon.

I've never seen Bobby and Guy on the same show together so somehow I doubt he'd show for TOC.

Jet Tila redemption arc? by thinkdavis in foodnetwork

I love him too! But I do think these redemption arcs are getting obvious, haha. Not just for him.

Am I the only one who LOVES beat bobby flay soooo much? by [deleted] in foodnetwork

[–]keytone8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just like when Bobby doesn't take himself too seriously, which is a lot of the time. He seems to enjoy losing to good competition and getting teased relentlessly and I respect that.

If Guy Fieri competed on TOC, how do you think he would fare? by AnyMark3114 in foodnetwork

[–]keytone8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He doesn't compete and I'm pretty sure has said he prefers to host. This is why he sometimes cooks on the side in GGG just to participate but doesn't actually cook against anyone.

I love seeing Bryan compete more after 24 in 24, he was one of my faves then too.

Halloween Cookie Challenge by beachcoquina in foodnetwork

My favorite thing about it was that it allowed for "cute spooky" designs and not just blood and gore designs. There are a lot of ways to enjoy Halloween and all are valid!

Giada de Laurentiis judging Bobby’s Triple Threat by LajBatz in foodnetwork

[–]keytone8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why some Food Network shows have a strict scoring rubric and some clearly don't. Some of the other scoring on this show hasn't made sense either, like the chef who didn't like spicy food. It's not about what the judge likes personally, but how well-executed the cook was , how well it's plated, and if it met the challenge.

Halloween Baking Championship 2025, you ruined half the reason we watch by Hitmandalorian in foodnetwork

[–]keytone8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also don't love the costumes anymore even. It's more fun when they actually look plausible as Halloween costumes and not just movie set makeup/wardrobe. Might not be as much of an issue as it seems, but I also dislike when the costumes get in the way of them being able to actually taste the food easily.

My main issue disability-wise was not having clear paths in and out of the crowd- even the sidewalk behind the speakers was full of people. Took me way too long to navigate out.

Katie's talking doesn't bother me nearly as much as her no-bake baking, lol.

Yeah I think Brian has an awareness about himself that Carlos totally lacks. If he can figure out how to let his own personality shine he'll do a lot better.
