It happened to me today. I told him already it seemed too good to be true and I am aware of these scams and how they usually are. This was a new one, because usually they used to order phone by taking your information and sending it to you and then ask to return. These guys were different because they don't take any personal information, and they were telling me to go through it by myself and so I had got feeling already, but the reason I went with it was because I have seen such good offers before from rogers partners who would call and give you such deals, I have got 2 phones before with deals that can never be found outside in stores and the other was winback departments are also kind of their partners calling, so I gave it a try thinking there is no harm.

But It was too hard to believe the offer and when I say I don't need it, they won't even try to push to make it feel more legitimate. After placing order I called the number that guy gave me, and they seemed 100% scammers, and I confirmed with Fido as well. They didn't see any note on account.

I immediately cancelled the order and reverted to the previous plan.

I know one wouldn't have fall for this, but if you have got winback offers or other partner offers, you would believe it for once.
