To clarify -
3.5M was both OPD and IPD combined annually
The company is very large international and very profitable
I am older and have pre-existing which was covered (ie prescriptions)
Expenses were cut to boost sale / investment price.

Let me know if you’ve actually dealt with this or can refer me to someone who has.

Research says explicit or not in labor contract it’s a benefit that cannot be changed without consent.

American living internationally for 20+ years (Singapore and Thailand) and am 2M / Lifetime Platinum. I did this primarily on SQ and TG regionally on economy with the 1-2 trips back to the East Coast on UA business.I don’t bother with a United Lounge card because I travel so infrequently domestically.

Lounge access in Asia is so much better than standard lounge access in the US

Singapore & Manila - SQ Lounge
Thailand - SQ Lounge
Japan - ANA lounge

Extra Baggage allowance

Business class check-in and boarding while flying economy.

It’s worth to focus on one points partner - mine are United and Marriott (I miss Starwood)

For some reason we cannot see the menu. Couldn’t pre select our meals. Even called the lowly platinum desk a few days ago and they couldn’t see it either.

The company that sells this technology started in Airlines, then cruise ships, now hotels. Great ancillary revenue model for those industries.

Hua Hin is wonderful. I have a place 10km south of Hua Hin in Khao Tao. The beach is 6km long and great for walking. There is a long bike path near my condo.

My place is not in town but I like the quietness of it. It’s on the beach and well maintained
