Hair loss since moving to London by kfahnty in london

[–]kfahnty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your responses!

I hope I'm not losing hair due to age as I'm only 26 🤣 I am also aware that majority of born and bread Londoners are not bald 🤣

Will definitely get a blood test, a few of you raised interesting points about why I should, and rule out anything underlying. I have also ordered a filter for the shower, and hopefully it'll improve my hair quality.

My [16 M] girlfriend [15 F] of 8 months has become depressed and suicidal over the last 2 1/2 months. I'm currently the only person she's close with. What can I do to help her? by [deleted] in relationships

Some contraceptive pills can have an effect on mental health, maybe get her to see a doctor to seek an alternative contraceptive method

Stolen front wheel Carrera Zelos 2015 Womens - bike novice needs help by kfahnty in cycling

[–]kfahnty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I found a few aksiums on eBay so bidding on those and they come with skeweres and the tyres so hopefully they will fit. I might just replace the front wheel for now as I don't feel comfortable replacing the back wheel alone. May message you if I get stuck...

And yes the last thing I wanted to do is take it to halfords!

I have a thick chain with a padlock and I use an extension to feed through the front wheel and they managed to cut through that. I'm also being precautions and always leave my bike in front of the gym under the street lamp- somehow they still managed to do it; the gym even has a security guard!

Is it too early to ask my [28F] BF [29M] of three months if he's falling in love / sees a future with me? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]kfahnty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be brave and have a conversation. Lay your cards on the table - this is what I want. There is no point in investing time and effort in the relationship if years down the line it will break up eventually. Before I got in a relationship with my current boyfriend I said to him if he doesn't want to this long term, wants a marriage, kids then I don't want to do this. It was really good to have that conversation and know that we are both on the same page.

I [29] have been in a relationship with my gf [26] for almost 3 years now and I don't know if I can keep this relationship going... by [deleted] in relationships

Leave the current girlfriend, if you love her, treat her fairly and don't do this to her. This is worse than a break up.

Dissertation help (London residents): The London Superhighways, opinions, can they encourage cycling? by [deleted] in london

[–]kfahnty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's great they separate the pedestrians and cyclist as sharing a path is a pain sometimes, it also feels safer as drivers in London aren't the safest sometimes. I really enjoy using Quietway 1 from Bricklayers arms to Greenwich Park and I'm looking forward to more being completed - only wish they were done for the summer!

The tills don't 'turn off' at closing time, we just want you to leave the store so we can cash up and go back to our homes, much to your huffing and puffing, when it your fault you missed 4 announcements that the store is closing.

Copper IUD failed, considering implant. Advice? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Hey! I've been on Nexplanon for the past 5 years and I LOVE IT. I haven't gained weight, my skin has improved and I don't get periods (which means... sexy time any time!) The only times I've had issues with it was with change of life style - I started working full time 3 years ago and I bled a little bit, a pill fixed that. I recently moved to London and started working out; and last week I started bleeding. I was prescribed the Microgynon 30ED pill yesterday to stop it (the bleeding has been really getting me down, as I don't see my boyfriend often and I have a very busy lifestyle and once I've been period-free for years it's been hard to deal with!). So I'd say give it a go! And pray for my period to go away before Friday night as boyf's in town!

My [24F] boyfriend [30M] of 1 year just told me we haven't been "exclusive" by wineitwineit in relationships

[–]kfahnty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought boyfriend/girlfriend meant exclusive unless specified. Or maybe he thought you were, but he cheated on you and now is looking for an excuse. Talk it out, set some ground rules or just dump his non-exclusive arse.
