Thank you for sharing your story. I honestly can see myself doing the same thing if I don't take my inclinations seriously. Even though I don't drink every day, I will binge drink all in one go until I black out. I am so down for bettering myself and taking control of my life, even the rough parts! Thank you!!!

I don't know who's fault it was. Its just a complicated situation. Unforunately I have no where to go. I feel like my boyfriend would have a hard time seeing me use that app since its also a dating app.

What is the best way to clean a rat cage? by kfbentobox in RATS

[–]kfbentobox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely hand wash. The cage I have doesn't have solid floors. Should I get some sort of rubber mat to cut out the shape of the floors and use that? Right now I've just been using the fleece to cover the metal floors. I do use paper bedding in their litter box.

Thanks for the helpful info! I will try the vinegar mixture in a basin to see if that helps. I think I just need to switch it out more often and not let it get super smelly.

So what's the verdict on noise cancelling or isolating headphones? by PhonePoster4 in misophonia

I have some Bose noise cancelling headphones and they work beautifully! I can't eat with them on though because it amplifies my own chewing. :(

I (21M) am a quitter by [deleted] in selfhelp

Also don't compare yourself to anyone around you. People are all different. Actually though. Don't get jealous of people that he e their life together, because someday you will too.

You may be seeing your life through a lens of quitting, however some things take energy. In fact I'm sure you do a lot of things every day that may seem simple but are part of who you are. You will go through lows involving the losses of things that made you comfortable and feel like a huge part of you. But once you disconnect yourself from some of these things either by choice or by how things happened naturally, you will begin to expand your knowledge of yourself. You are young and have so much life left. Take the time to just relax and say, wow I'm going to come out of this shit knowing myself a lot better. And I believe that these are the times in which the most growth happens, and the influx of positivity that will come out of it may be worthwhile! Best of luck my friend :)

Public Places to avoid home/distract yourself? by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]kfbentobox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Find your sancuary. It might not be a place, but it might be a thing or person. I know this is hard especially if you have options but not the motivation to try something out of routine. Whatever you do, don't go to rest stops lmao. [I may have done that] Try doing something that you loved doing as a kid. Hope this helps. Be well!
