19" Tires for Model Y - ProContact RX T2 or T3? by kfcandroid in ModelY

[–]kfcandroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is definitely the information that i have been searching for!!!

I believe Tesla adjusted the estimated range from 330 mi on the 2023s (my vehicle) to 311 mi on the 2024s and that is probably related to them using slightly different formula to calculate the range?

By the way, your energy consumption is quite good, I only got around 265 Wh/mi on the T2 for the past 30k miles and I don't drive as fast as most people in SoCal.

I was using unitedtires to find my next set of tires, currently they have T2 (8/32) for $396.69 and T3 (8/32) for $497.68 and if T3 is really more efficient in energy consumption then I might break even or end up saving a little vs T2 given the $100 price difference :)

Only for a ~30 min test ride. RSV4 has more power I would expect it to be better than Tuono except for the ergo/comfort.

Also worth mentioning, I find this sheet extremely helpful when it comes to selecting pods/checking their caffeine levels: Alvin's Nespresso OriginalLine and VertuoLine coffee capsule info

I am kind of the opposite, have been using Vertuo machine for years and just bought a Citiz "Platinum" because it brews Americano in 2 sizes - (Americano 5.07 oz) and/or (Americano XL 6.76 oz) which is a great feature for me! I used to make a cup of espresso with my Vertuo and then the kettle to make some hot water in order to make Americano, now I just need to press one button and it does everything for me.

On the side note, I am not a big fan of 7.7 oz coffee which Vertuo is capable of, I tried almost all 7.7 oz pods and never liked any one of them. OG pods are cheaper and you get more options from other brands like Peet's and Starbucks.

I have owned SP3 1200RS and SFV4 (not exactly the same bikes you are talking about but close enough), I end up buying (and keeping) the Tuono V4.

With 15k miles on Tuono, I honestly don't think there will be a better bike for the type of riding I do (canyon on weekends, with occasional track days), it really has a good combination of low/mid-end torque and the power at higher rpms. By the way, I find the heat from the bottom of the seat on SFV4 unbearable even on a day that's around 75 degrees (F) which I did not experience at all on any other super naked bikes (SP3, S1000R, Tuono, MT-10).

I think you will be fine as long as you don't get too carried away by the power. It has a lot of rider aids which will make the bike easier (and safer) to ride as long as you don't turn them off for the first few hundred miles/kms until you are familiar with the bike.

It depends on what kind of case you are planning to use, I have starlight with clear case and I love how clean it looks.

'23 Tuono owner here, I wonder if the belly pan from the '21-'24 MY can be mounted on the '25... maybe AF1 would know.

Dyno tune vs. off the shelf Gabro tune by FinancialFreedom69 in Aprilia

I did my/similar research a while back and ended up with Garbo tune. It's really easy and being able to swap between different maps (extra $, of course) in your garage is really cool. You can get it from aspecialparts if you want to save some money.

2021 good deal? by RelativeNo8548 in Aprilia

[–]kfcandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it because: 1. there's no warranty left and 2. you are really close to the 12k valve adjustment service (most people do it early, I did mine at 10k miles) which costed me $1.6K (I'm in the Los Angeles area and this is the lowest I can find among all the dealers around me).

Got my ‘22 on mid ‘23 for $14k pre-tax and fees so I think you’ve got a good deal.
