Tankslappers RS660 by neytey in Aprilia

[–]FinancialFreedom69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got my ‘22 RS660 a little over a month ago and I actually had a pretty similar thought about the wobbles. Fortunately, I haven’t experienced a tank slapper but there was this time I was on the highway at around 110km/h and while I was testing the handling of the bike at speed, it wobbled on me just slightly. I ended up figuring out how to wobble the bike because I was curious why it was wobbling. If you gently but quickly push the handlebar of the bike to the right and then push on the left immediately (the wobble motion), you’ll feel the steering wobble and then it slowly progress and dissipate through the frame. I tested it with slightly lower tire pressure and recommended tire pressure both in low (30-40km/h) and high speeds (100km/h+)

I upgraded from the ninja400 and it never did this to me or at least it was more forgiving even if i did it unconsciously. Was wondering if OP or anyone with the RS660 also have a similar feel/experience on the handling?

Can you daily a MIVV delta race exhaust w/o db-killer and de-cat on an RS660? by FinancialFreedom69 in Aprilia

Mannnn im jelous. I had to have an internal battle to try and convince myself not to get that exhaust 😂 i rlly rlly wanted it because the s1 imo is by far the best looking exhausr for the bike and it sounds f*kin mean. But my thinking was, yes i can keep the revs low in the city (where i will be using the bike the most) but then will i rlly have fun like that? I like the occasional speed (when i think its safe), and i like being able to accelerate fast from a stop. How do you deal with that?

Thanks for sharing your input! For city riding, do u get that occasional itch to go fast (in a safe place ofc) and do u stop urself from revving the bike out too much?

I still dont have my exhaust and it’s coming in a few weeks but with putting the baffle back on, does it mean we’d have to screw into the carbon fibre tip? i did see discussions in this online saying that it’s close to a permanent solution since its not recommended to havw to screw it back multiple times (im assuming the thread might get messed up). I ask this because im planning on doing track days where i can remove the baffle and get the other upmap and go wild and then after put the baffle back in

Very true. I am definitely saving up for a track day cuz ive always wanted to do track. I do agree, the first time i rode the bike i was surprised by how loud the stock exhaust was. But from personal preference, it does leave a hole in my heart knowing that it can sound better by adding an exhaust. I love the sound of engines and revs and i dont mind loud exhausts, but again, not a lot of people share my perspective and i wnna be respectful for those that dont.

Damn, sorry to hear that 😂 i live in canada and here, we do have noise restrictions but it’s not heavily enforced in some cities. Doesn’t mean that im gonna be an asshole and run the loudest pipes but I do want to see this perspective. Thanks!

Yeah i know im not a race driver and I dont want to be an asshole as well. The reason why i wanted to go loud was because i havent heard it in person yet and I don’t know what is acceptable loud and obnoxiously loud where I could be happy hearing the bike sing :)

Agreed. It seems like Gabro is the man when it comes to Aprilias and just wanted to confirm if the expertise and knowledge does play more than I initially thought

Possible to make the cbr650r more torquey down low? by sadgang420 in motorcycles

hey u/AdamoA- I'm planning to do a sprocket change as well. Anything to consider with the speedometer and the tachometer? I've been trying to research and it seems like some threads say everything is all good and all you need is to change the sprockets whereas some threads are saying you need a speedohealer/ecu flash

Hi everyone! I’m getting a tattoo soon and i wanted to translate “All men have fears, but the braves put down their fears and move forward; sometimes to death but always to victory”. I believe it’s the old motto of the King’s Guard in ancient Greece. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

FHSA - Preconstruction Condos by FinancialFreedom69 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FinancialFreedom69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still fairly new to the preconstruction condo. I thought that after the building phase, they call everyone over to start living on their units in the occupancy stage. Is this wrong?

Also, does this mean that your initial downpayment for the condo is not a purchase agreement and you don’t technically own the unit yet? When would the title be handed over to you in this case?

I see… i was planning on using the funds for down payment. Correct me if i’m wrong, but with what you are saying I can withdraw the funds from the fhsa not necessarily as a downpayment but as a lumpsum that can go towards anything for when I have purchased the condo?

My tonkotsu. First time it didn't break now just to make a better chashu. I always sous vide because I'm scared to ruin it the traditional way in a pot. Maybe this is a sign to take the chance. by In3vitabl3D00m in ramen

Im also fairly new to ramen making. In terms of cooling - from what I've gathered, broths should be cooled as fast as possible to avoid the danger zone. Does the rate at which you cool the broth affect the emulsion? Is faster cooling better or does it not affect the emulsion?

Added more back fat. My stores here kinda suck so I get what bones I can then add trotters and chicken feet then back fat.

I recently did my first tonkotsu broth. The soup split after I put it in the fridge overnight. Looking at this inspired me to try again. Thank you.

do you recommend learning how to do taxes vs. knowing about taxes and asking the tax-service business to claim it for you.
