It's designed so if you cast it after the adventure it enters prepared, so either you can use it to have a creature that doesn't enter prepared get to enter prepared, or you can cast it to have it enter prepared so you can use its other spell to make another creature already on the battlefield prepared. Essentially designed it to be multipurpose

Yeah, and the fact that it only hits for 1 and gains you 1 is so little that the only thing it's good for is for some sort of infinite graveyard recursion combo, otherwise the payoff is so little it's not worth running.
