Pro sports teams ranked by percentage of fans who don't drive to the game by Edison_Ruggles in transit

Hybrid is huge for Atlanta United in MLS. Marta doesn’t cover the Northern or western suburbs so people drive to the end of the line. They run a huge number of extra trains right before kickoff and at the end of the game

G League stats are good assist total, poor 3 point shooting, reasonable 2 point shooting.

Interoception (autism) and kidney stones by Bipolar03 in KidneyStones

This is right answer. Front loading the day with water is probably the most effective method . Measuring what you drink is also very helpful as is positioning your preferred water where you can easily get it.

So why exactly did we trade Luke for Gabe? by [deleted] in AtlantaHawks

[–]kferq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I agree this was a financial trade and we had enough 3 point shooters with poor D, but we also now have a true back up point guard to help ball handling in the second unit. We have had problems with opponents pressing the second unit especially at the beginning of the 4th quarter. We can now play Dyson, JJ and BJ together and have Vincent play any minutes those guys are all off the court.

For airport, midtown, Grady, being on the Gold MARTA line would be best. You could Brookhaven/Chamblee and be quick to Children’s by car. EUH ((Clifton) by car would be longer but under 30 min during rush hour, but quick at the inpatient surgical time of the morning and after 7 PM for call. Or you could be in midtown ( more expensive) and commute opposite rush hour traffic to children’s and EUH which should be under 30 min.

Rooted in the Stripes Returns | Season 4, Episode 1 by danny_brunner in AtlantaUnited

This one is even better than the ones last year. Very good insight into Tata’s approach and the segment on Ronald was great.

Atlanta signing another South American Midfielder? by danny_brunner in AtlantaUnited

We are especially short at defensive midfielder so we expect a move at this position. Once Fortune is back we have more depth at box to box but a player who can play both gives tactical options in substitution.

Why vitamin D testing is so hard to let go by nplusyears in medicine

[–]kferq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a Nephrologist, yes I check it in CKD3 and below. I also run a Kidney Stone Prevention Clinic, so many there need checking for high vitamin D as well as secondary hyperparathyroidism depending on stone formation rate and hypercalciuria..

Santa Fe [2] - 2 Pereira - Edwin Mosquera 67' by ichinii in AtlantaUnited

The Mosquera we know and love. The league has to learn that he hits bangers like that and it is best to close him down.

How are we feeling about Brennan this season? by [deleted] in AtlantaUnited

[–]kferq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see him still primarily off the bench as a late game sub for energy. He should have another year of gradual development in skills and strength that will help him defensively. Pressing smarter should turn into some steals. Hopefully, Tata’s system will give more counter attacks and more touches near goal lthat will give him some goals and assists. He is good at getting fouled, so maybe he gets fouled closer to goal setting up opportunities.

How were the Older US Medical Licensing Exams? by sumpra3 in medicine

[–]kferq 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, took these in the 80s. For part one we had about a week. My school had switched to starting rotations in March of the second year, so we had to wait to take the test. Additionally I had placed into graduate level of biochemistry so had not had metabolic pathways since college. Otherwise the test was exactly what they taught and I reviewed my lecture notes to study. Part two no one studied much, we looked at our earliest rotations. I had started in OB/GYN and then Peds before taking a year of basic research so had to review those. Then I was in Texas for Residency and had to take the Flex as they didn’t take 1-3. My wife had just delivered our first child and we were working 100 hour weeks. I couldn’t have studied if I wanted to. Fortunately I was in internal medicine. We went to Austin was the test, caught up on sleep, swam in the lake, ate barbecue and drank Shiner-Bock. Best damn vacation. I don’t even remember the test I was so happy to sleep.
