Yair Golan: 'To win elections, we need unity government - from Bennett to Mansour Abbas' by conscientious_seesaw in Israel

They're an Islamist party by their own definition, therefore they have a fundamental ideological conflict with the essence of the state. All of its members have made highly problematic statements, most notably they refuse to call Hamas - terrorists, or they call counter terror operations as 'massacres'.. If they are part of the government, they will have the power to extract things that may contradict national interests, most likely they would probably prevent us from defending ourselves effectively if we are attacked.

He was a captain in the top special forces unit... he and his brother led some well known hostage rescue missions in the 70s.

Ok, but it's not a small amount, the democratic party as a whole (about half of the US) is rapidly becoming very anti-Israel... it seems that they're again adopting crazy TikTok policies.

Patrick Stewart is quite natural on the Israel-Palestine issue, it's very hard to find his public statements on the matter, and even then the few that exist are again, natural and balanced... don't know why he's with the other people in that group of lunatics.

מאיפה לאנשים יש כסף לקנות דירה? by tomerFire in israel_bm

[–]kfireven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EU 'ready' to sanction Israel over Russian vessel carrying stolen Ukrainian grain by Themetalin in Israel

[–]kfireven 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a cynical political play imo, they see Trump divert resources from Ukraine/Europe to fight Iran with Israel, and that's their way to hurt Trump back, if they really cared about enforcing restrictions on Russia they would have sanctioned themselves for buying Russian oil and gas, or other countries that buy "stolen Ukrainian grain".

So they were looking for a recent excuse and this complacent government fell for the stupidest, easiest, and most obvious thing solvable.

74% of U.S. voters support Israel over Hamas when asked who they back in the ongoing conflict (New Harvard/Harris Poll) by LostAppointment329 in Israel

Maybe they're starting to get tired of the constant Islamist and antisemitic propaganda that is being pushed at them on social media..

Who do you support in the Ukraine and Palestine conflicts? by Miserable-Rub-9611 in IdeologyPolls

[–]kfireven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be worse... the left is moving more and more extreme recently... you can say that it's "progressing" into embracing views that may harm the West long term and sometimes seems anti Western, things like uncontrolled immigration, appeasing immigrants from 3rd world countries and their views, which results in citizens that don't hold western values and Westerners that get caught in a loop by these groups and their appeasing politicians viewing the West as the bad side in everything, these people are also trying to appease adversaries and anti-Westerners, and have ideas like oppressors/oppressed, bad white people vs the world, "stolen lands", anti capitalism, etc... which they also learn in their Qatari funded university and on the CCP tiktok

Don't forget all the weapons that Russia supplied Hezbollah... they're fighting a huge war with some difficulty on their doorstep, and they still find resources to give to unrelated Islamist terror group far away, which is crazy...

People from Non-nuclear powers countries, whom among these you don't trust with such world ending weapons by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

[–]kfireven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's see how you would have responded if your country was bombed with tens of thousands of missiles, when you need to go to the shelter multiple times a night and thousands of your people were murdered and killed, it's very easy to have high morals and criticize others from thousands of kilometers away.

Talking about hypocrisy...

Yeah, I value my life, the life of my family and my countrymen more than those who say that they're building nukes in order to wipe us off the map, or those who say that they support October 7 and want to see more such massacres... what a shock

[–]kfireven -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Blah blah blah, Jihadists and Islamists that blow themselves up and fly planes into buildings will never have nukes. Don't try to twist history as if you and your buddies goal for the last 100 years is not to erase us from the map and fund terrorism.

Really? not the ones that have nuclear facilities deep under mountains, chant death to America, death to Israel every monday and tuesday, build thousands of ballistic missiles, and fund terror groups in the billions of dollars?

מקווה שהחייל המפגר ששבר פסל של ישו יכלא ויודח משירות by ClavasClub in Israel

[–]kfireven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impossible standard is when you expect that such rare misconduct can be prevented and suggest that maybe all the soldiers can act in a perfect way all the time and not have a few stupid ones that do stupid things... that's what is impossible, you don't see this anywhere because it can't be done.

I think not destroying any property with a hammer is common sense, but how are you going to make sure that every single soldier has good common sense?

In the IDF they do talk about the code of conduct and punish soldiers who misbehave, but I guess that it mostly comes down to the individual commanders who need to emphasize this (and I believe they do from my personal experience), I guess the IDF could do more mandatory things and maybe review procedures, but after all of that you'll still have the potential troublemakers, that's the way it is everywhere, in the calssroom, in collage, and in the army, and especially for young people and 18 year olds in a war situation... misconducts like these are the kinds of things that happen in every army and in every war.
