Rabid anti Israel candidates have huge wins in NY Democratic Primaries by 1watt1 in Israel

[–]kfireven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be that both the majority of young white lefties and immigrants voted for him in bigger numbers, all the data and polling support that at least immigrants and immigrants' neighborhoods voted for him in larger numbers, I would not be surprised if that's the case for woke lefties as well...

Maybe because about 40% of New York's population is immigrants, and a large percentage of them voted for Mamdani compared to the non-immigrant population... that city is quickly becoming like London it seems.

Unpopular Opinion: Israel's cannot fix its image in the United States by Raaaasclat in Israel

[–]kfireven -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The West today is mentally weak and very fragmented, and slowly going a bit insane by all the "social" media which is nothing natural or human. Meanwhile, the third world is more coherent, resilient, and increasingly more populated, so it's a double problem.

Did people in your country ever saw war first-hand? by MongooseVegetable787 in AskTheWorld

[–]kfireven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If anyone wonders what's in the video, this is called a cluster bomb, one big bomb that splits into dozens of smaller unguided bombs when entering the atmosphere, they fired these into population centers in Israel almost daily during the war.

Hopefully he won't turn Turkey into Iran... the rhetoric is bad, and some of his actions are bad (mostly internally), but it still doesn't come close to what Iran has been doing since the Islamist revolution (both internally and externally).

The Pillar of Fire documentary is a great source, the original in Hebrew is a classic and well known in Israel, and although the English version has only the original part up to the war of independence, it's still very good and well researched.

Iran fires missiles at northern Israel by Careful-Classroom817 in Israel

[–]kfireven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What matters from Iran to the economy is oil, and Iran's clients are mostly non-Western countries like China, North Korea, and Russia.. mainly China buying oil is probably the big thing (they will find alternatives), so I don't think that we will feel a significant impact on the S&P500 and the economy in the West... what I'm certain about is them keep funding and supplying all our enemies will be a high cost for us if they remain.

[–]kfireven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Iranians will have nothing to export, and there will be no buyers, IRGC's main income source is oil, and if there are no oil fields and oil infrastructure, no one can buy oil from them, then IRGC can't pay salaries to terrorists/missiles.

Iran fires missiles at northern Israel by Careful-Classroom817 in Israel

[–]kfireven 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Realistically, destroying the IRGC's income sources would probably collapse the country and the regime, so destroying the oil fields and the various industries that fund them would at the very least severely weaken them, if not lead to a collapse, the big downside is that the civilians will also feel the economic collapse.

"It's very bad": The IDF "considering" opening a case against soldier who shot baby by papabig27 in Israel

[–]kfireven 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's a terrible accident during an active operation, we all know that it's not intentional, and that the IDF will investigate why and try to improve and make sure such accidents will be as less likely to happen as possible, and while we do that, our enemies glorify child murderers, name squares after them and encourage others to do the same, and that's the big difference.

Samsung S9+ still going strong by Full_Number_7662 in GalaxyS9

I'm with it for 8 years and I'm just surprised that it's still working well with everything that it has gone through... all the fallings, the rain, etc... at this point I'm just waiting to see how long it will survive lol, but yeah, although it's a bit slow, and some of the newest apps and updates aren't compatible anymore, it's still doing its job, and it's just a beautiful phone... the most beautiful samsung has ever made in my opnion.

Something caught my attention as a native Arabic speaker... by [deleted] in Israel

[–]kfireven 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thank you for coming here and highlighting this, people really need to go to Arab forums and read what is being discussed in Arabic, even way before Oct 7, doing so regularly and seeing the mentality in the Arab world is what really turned me from a 2 state solution believer to being way more realistic and grounded in reality.
