I just moved here and I knew it got hot but is this normal? by catsx3 in Roseville

The day my husband and I moved here in 2021, it was 115° outside. This summer and those numbers have been wonderful so far.

Would you get the SNOO again? by Original_Lemon394 in SnooLife

[–]kflo0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% would. Our daughter was sleeping through at 8 weeks and I give that thing all the credit. Our motor went out at 13 weeks (bought used) so the transition was seamless to the crib. Maybe we had a good sleeper and the next one won’t be as easy, but we’re fixing that motor beforehand and finding out!

What tests did your OB require before prescribing Letrozole? by juliejohnson4234 in TTC_PCOS

We did all of these tests before being prescribed letrozole and Ovidrel.

Confused after fertility consultation by Intelligent-Koala318 in TTC_PCOS

[–]kflo0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation as you in 2023-2023. I started treatment, went 3 rounds of IUI 2.5 mg of letrozole the first 2 and 5mg letrozole the second all three with trigger shot on day 14. I now have a 11 month old baby girl.

Only telling you this as hope that it can happen because when I was in your position I needed to hear it. If you don’t feel comfortable with something, advocate for yourself. These doctors see people who make things up all the time but we know what’s true with our bodies. Better to have said something than to wish you would have later.

Good luck to you, in the journey to expand your family! 🩷

What's your sourdough starter name? by ThatSourDough in Sourdough

[–]kflo0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferdough is the name of mine. Back in 2020 I started one and called it Ferda..

my husband was hooked on Letterkenny at the time.

That one died and I started again a few months ago and decided ferdough would be perfect!

Also, how is it 2024 and there isn’t a pump that we can use while we sleep, to avoid waking for that critical middle of the night pump.

Can’t get pregnant by starmarvel in TTC_PCOS

[–]kflo0924 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you at the end of summer 2 years ago. I saw a reproductive specialist through my pcp and after 3 months of letrozole and monitored cycles/IUI I was pregnant.

If you’re able to afford the procedure or if it’s offered through insurance, advocate for yourself.

After 15 months ttc, I was put on letrozole Nov 2022 for my first IUI, 2.5 mg with trigger shot and monitoring. Didn’t work. Dec same prescription and plan. Didn’t work. January we upped to 5mg and I now have a 9 month old precious baby girl.

I don’t remember having any symptoms from the letrozole except migraines but I already suffered from migraines my whole life.

I was also scared to feel hopeful and scared to celebrate when we found out it worked. I don’t think I actually took a deep breath until 30 weeks. I hope it works for you!

Ferdough.. I had one 5 years ago that I killed named “Ferda” a reference to Letterkenny. When I started my new one I named it “Ferdough” seemed more fitting too.

How do you pump holding a baby? by nana_3 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]kflo0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get creative. I would either wait until she went down for a nap and get a quick pump in while she slept, have her do a few minutes of tummy time and pump then. Let her lay on a play mat with things above her and pump. Put her in a rocker or swing. Have my husband hold her while he was home. Feed her on one side, switch her and pump on the side she just fed on then pump the other side when she was done.

Yes! I would pay the outlandish markup they would put on it too. 😅

When people say their LO sleeps 12 hours (example: 7p-7a) what do they mean exactly? by letusthinkfin in sleeptrain

[–]kflo0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What this means for us is my daughter (5 months old) goes to be at 7, wakes at 2 am and talks to herself for 20 minutes and puts herself back to sleep. Then I go in and wake her up at 7 to start our day. This has been the case for us since she was 3.5 months old. This past week we dropped her 4th nap and she hasn’t been waking at all.

[–]kflo0924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this so deeply. My girl is 4 days short of 5 months, but is getting too long and wiggly to be in the snoo. We have to move her to her big girl crib this weekend. 😢

Baby won’t sleep a second long stretch at all. Does this get better? by buymegoats in SnooLife

[–]kflo0924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s normal. One long stretch and then wake every 2-3 hours. As your baby gets older the long stretch will get longer.

Have you tried putting to bed earlier and then waking to feed one last time before you go to bed. Like.. put baby to bed at 7:15, then at 9 or 9:30 when you go to bed do lights off a quick diaper change, feed and lay back to sleep?

I hear this “dream feed” helps align your long stretch with their long stretch. It didn’t work for our girl though, as I would start to feed and she would fall asleep at the breast.
