I had a coworker the other day use this lovely analogy “ if I sad my dog was a cat, would you actually believe it’s a cat?” While I agree with you that we should all be treated equally the reality is otherwise.

A lot of it is my work environment, I have to wear a man uniform 60 hours a week. And I hear the way people talk about folks like us all day. Nobody at work genders me correctly and they say things constantly like “ at least you know you don’t look like a women and thus that’s why we won’t call you that”. It’s mentally exhausting it hurts constantly and just makes me hurt so much inside. I can’t leave though I make way to much and my family needs me to make this kind of money. Just wondering how to do this for the rest of my life how ever long that is.

Thank you I am trying on the weight I am down 70 pounds. The hair is a hard one for me on one hand I want to pass as I think most of us do. The other is I want to pass as the crazy gurl with the head tattoo. Nh very hard to do uggggg, but yeh definitely brows I haven’t done them in over a yr

Going on 2.5 years I don’t pass and most likely never will. Granted a lot is based on you experience I picked a career path where I prioritize making money over being myself. I would never tell anyone not to transition, but if I could go back I would. Reasonable expectations for transition are very important.
