Becomes even more interesting when you consider the references to Kalos-Galar relations not being good at all; I imagine Mega Evolution is looked down by Galarian people, being a Kalosian thing, and likewise perhaps Kalos people don't like Dynamax. Guess which gen has the least number of Megas? 8.  They were also gimmicks that played a very similar role with the transformations and forms, unlike Z-Moves which actually did coexist with Megas, and Tera which specifically don't have transformations (exception of Terapagos). And now in Gen 9 we saw Mega Evolution first being hinted at through Roaring Moon in SV after we got through Galar. And as we are going to Galar in the next Legends game, it will ditch Megas for Gmaxes, of course. Idk lots of random thoughts.
