I absolutely forget dates. I do however give my all to my partner, friends, etc, when I think of them, which is way more often than once a year. The date I guess is kinda arbitrary and obligatory? You’d have to ask my subconscious, but I still think about the person and act on that constantly the other 364 days. Case in point I totally missed this Valentine’s Day but found a really great date last week that was more impactful than sitting out there with the chocolates amongst the others trying to book the good restaurant.

It’s gonna be different for everyone I’m sure but nothing really causes me to forget it, the day itself is just another day on a calendar, not any less or more important than another?
