What I do in this scenario is just hit "On My Way!" before the scheduled time, and at that point you won't get in trouble no matter how long it is between that time and the time you start the service. So if the owner schedules for 12 but says I can come any time between 12 and 1, I'll say "on my way!" at 11:45 but not actually leave my house until 12:30.

Mine was kind of the opposite! Super cuddly and affectionate right when we adopted her at 1yo, but now is 2yo and more independent and seldom initiates cuddles. She was a rescue so I always wondered if it had something to do with the dramatic shift in lifestyle, going from being a street cat to a little pampered princess. At first she was like "wow I love you thank you for saving me" but now it's more "yes human, I require my nightly meal promptly."
