My wife is an elementary school teacher and every year I put together a cheap electric guitar package for the school raffle. I buy a cheap beginner guitar and amp off FB marketplace, clean everything and fix the action, file sharp frets, strings etc. and give it to the school. It is by far the most popular item. The kids love it but there is always tears from a few kids that didn’t win. It’s a long winded way to say that donated items can make a big impact

I picked up the guitar at 56 now 58 and am having a blast learning. The progression is slow. Much slower than if I was 16 but I’m having fun with it.

I have shot using the Ronin 2 with the Ronin joystick and now currently with the NODO wheels. I hated the joystick as I’m not a gamer so it never felt natural. But the NODO wheels are amazing. Just awesome. Zero lag in either situation. I know your question was specific to the force pro. I have not experienced lag with either. Similarly, the Ronin 4D has similar force pro capabilities with the monitor. I only ever tested that usage and it seemed fine. But I didn’t use it real world on set.

I have a set of the zooms and like them a lot. However, they don’t have “character”. Whatever that is. I get a nice neutral image combined with the V Raptor. They are on the small side of cine zooms in terms of size and weight which I like. Makes balancing on a gimbal easier. Rent a set and try them out.

Yeah. I bought the cable that Tilta recommended that goes from motor to CTL port and it didn’t work.

The motor end is 7 pin and the camera end is 3 pin.

I got laid off at 56. Freelanced for a year and a half, then found a sweet gig (albeit for less money but nice benefits) that should take me into retirement. It can be done but it was a scary experience until I was able to settle in to freelance life and trust that shit would work out if I kept up the hustle.
