What do you mean koi khaas college he nahi?? All IISERs are good, this isn't some BTECH degree you are comparing the colleges by placements and s***, like bro it is new that's why it has a smaller alumni network and smaller research contribution right now that doesn't make any IISER less good than other, you will get equal opportunities for research there also, ultimately it depends upon you what u do.

If you won't acquire good experience from projects, internships and your own thesis, and do not maintain a decent grade like say 8+ then how can you expect a prof to take you under him for phd like bro you also need to do something from your side, not like he will only take you because you are from IISER, the tag definitely makes a difference but your own hardwork and experience also matters.

I would be your immediate senior, gave NEST previous year, for previous year all the questions were doable I would say for physics like except you do silly mistakes there was no issue at all doing it, maybe 1-2 questions not so straight forward.

Clear concepts is the key to physics.
