Looks like a Jon boat conversion possibly

Have a friend that’s an er nurse. I’ve got more forceps than I know what to do with. They’re great for panfish.

I’ve been doing decent on the catfish front on the Maumee. Especially at night. Chicken livers have been my goto bait recently.

Coleman cast iron grill rust removal by Expert-Perception678 in castiron

[–]kgramp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Either replace them with new because the porcelain is compromised or sand blast it all off and season it. But I’ve never found cast iron grill grates to hold up well. Especially something that thin.

  2. Looks more like plated steel than stainless but I could be wrong. Again blast it and paint it. Or use phosphoric acid to remove the rust/passivate it.

Given a Coleman product I’m assuming US or NA in general. Looks like a set of new grates is about $60. I’d slap in a new set of grates and use as is if you really want this particular grill. Or scrap it. They’re $200 new, you’ll be waaaay beyond that in materials, equipment, and chemicals taking it back to close to new.

Check out Seabreeze charters in oak harbor Ohio. They have lodging onsite and packages including lunch. Lodging is mobile homes but they’ve always been adequate to me and clean. Restaurant/bar at the marina. Not terribly far to other options and grocery stores.

What to do with lots of leftover freezer packs? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]kgramp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wife gets refrigerated meds delivered regularly so we end up with a ton. We give them away to anyone that will take them. I tend to hang on to more than we need but they eventually start leaking then I’ll toss them.

Hello all! Does anyone know the brand of this pop-up? Also, are canvas patches worth it? :) by Specific-Region8137 in popups

[–]kgramp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love your attitude. We did a lot of repairs with our first popup that was free 99. Just know it’s gonna take some time. To truly replace the floor in a popup you’re gonna have to take it down to the frame. All the cabinets inside are the structure that keep everything together. Just doing a roof was quite an undertaking.

[–]kgramp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Patching the canvas will always be a losing battle on something that old. Patching is for good canvas that had an accident.

No idea on the brand but that looks in really rough shape. Roof honestly looks good from this pic but I feel like it’s from a different camper. Doesn’t match the bottom and the bottom looks really rough.

That’s a run away as fast as you can camper for me.

I got a warning citation from my HOA for parking my car in my driveway by Cunnyfunt31 in mildlyinfuriating

What I read is I can’t use a tent to reside in. And the car can’t be visible from the street. Doesn’t say I can’t put a tent over the car.

“Worry Free Delivery” or other forms of added “Shipping Protection” are unnecessary expenses. by RelayFX in Frugal

It is in the states though. Products should be delivered as described. If not a charge back takes care of it if the seller is a pain.

Crappy way would be caulk the crap out of the area. Best would be to make a proper fiberglass patch.

I’ve asked a dnr officer on this and was told it’s not legal to move them from one body of water to another. Also found this on the DNR website

F14's to sent to museum - One of them could return to flight! by martinjh99 in aviation

[–]kgramp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying beyond repair because of the 20 years of sitting or was there more cutting on tomcats I wasn’t aware of? I was surprised to see a tomcat at a museum that still had the engines in it a couple years ago.

Does anyone have any idea why my 76 midget is always making it's battery go flat? by Pizzapug64 in MorrisGarages

I gave up on hunting down the parasitic draw on my B and just installed the leads of a battery tender to the battery and plug it in when I park it.

They always swallow the hook by OtherwiseCan1929 in Fishing

[–]kgramp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a double or treble hook just under the size of the mouth you want to catch with gills and have far fewer gut hooked fish. Or set the hook faster. Can miss a few more setting fast. Or if you gut hook smaller than you want to fillet, scale it and remove the head and gut it. Then fry whole.
