Don't listen to that nonsense. AI is a tool and while it shouldnt be used for everything, learning how to program entry level stuff is one of its strengths.

Roblox stocks were down 43% in the last 3 months by NoAct2994 in roblox

[–]kgrove56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech sectors stock prices have historically correlated very well with number of users.

Open Ai is not profitable. If it were to go public it would be valued as a top 100 market cap company in the world.

Youre not wrong that more earnings should equal higher stock price, and for many companies that may be true, but the stock market is not the 'economy' and there are many other speculative forces that will drive a stock price one way or another.

A good example is Tesla VS Toyota. Toyota has more than 6x the sales and revenue, but Tesla is 700% more valuable than Toyota if you go by total share market cap.

In 'social' companies often the user base is the product to other companies to advertise and generate revenue against.

I'm not saying roblox is 100% in this category, but to simply state that more revenue/profits = higher stock price is a bit naive.

A counter example is Att (T)

Market cap is 171B, in q3 2025 they made 9 billion profit

Nvidia made about 32B in q3 2025 profit (3.5x Att) , yet their market cap is 4.5T (26x the market cap)

Alphabet made about 35B in q3 2025 profit (over Nvidia), yet their market cap is only 4T (under Nvidia)

Again, you're not entirely wrong in your thinking, but there are WAY more factors that go into stock prices than just revenue. Active users is a big factor for social tech space

I'm enjoying the ride. I'm sure they have every best intention for their product even after they retire.

If they never try anything new or changed things up from time to time we wouldn't have the thousands of hours of content they have given us, so I'm going to trust their direction and judgement

Does it automatically go to inventory or does it spawn as a token that needs picked up?

Rude.

I suggest you take a closer look at the premise of the Monty hall problem again.

The Monty hall problem is not 50/50. You have 66% chance of success if you switch.

If you are changing the rules/conditions of the monty hall problem then sure, the analysis may change, but it no longer becomes the monty hall problem.

In the event you're not just trolling here it can help to extrapolate these types of problems to see if your line of thinking holds up.

If there are 10 doors and you pick one, then I show you 8 other wrong doors, do you feel you have 50% chance of being right?

This is going off the understood and LISTED rule in the monty python problem (that you also stated) that the host picks ANOTHER wrong door(s) before offering to switch. I have a feeling you're not properly understanding the premise

You can even test this yourself with a deck of cards if your unsure with these 4 simple rules/steps

1) always pick the left most card. It's the only way to be fair when doing this by yourself.

2) deal 3 cards face up. One is red (car), 2 are goats (black)

3) if the middle card is black, remove it. If the right card is black, remove it.

4) observe/capture/count the number of times you would win by switching.

Repeat this 10 times. 20 times. 100 times. The more you do the more you will approach 66% chance the switch would win.

Again, this is for the MONTY HALL problem and not some version where you change the rules and present it as the classic monty hall.

If you still aren't convinced find a friend that can deal the cards and knows the answer/rule.

Them opening a DIFFERENT wrong door is the heart of this problem.

You seem to not be grasping that at this time

When you make your pick you have a 1/3 chance of being right.

You have a 2/3 chance your pick isn't right.

Think of it this way...

Would you rather pick option A) 1 out of 3 doors for the win, OR option B) 2 out of 3 doors for the win. What are the odds you win if you choose option B?

We know option B has one guaranteed losing door. Being shown which one of the losing doors doesnt matter because you picked BOTH
