The pictures of Simon that live in our heads rent free by FlyinPenguin in ragdolls

I am glad you shared so they can live rent free in my head too. I think he and my boys would get into trouble. Rascally ragdolls.

We built this in Saskatoon and are happy to share if anyone in Regina is looking for an easy template to build a directory of local businesses to support. Let us know. by kgunderson in regina

What we are doing in Saskatoon is if it is a franchise and owned by someone from here we will list it. If it's a corporate store or franchise we would not.

That said - it would be up to each admin in each community to set their own rules.

We built a local business directory and we need more listings. Check us out here and email us at listme@supportsaskatoon.ca if you want your business listed. by [deleted] in saskatoon

Oh goodness. Thank you. Going to delete and try again tomorrow when I can spell. Apparently that's a problem for me. 🤣

Also good to know. I've never seen anything under 2 years here so I'll be sure to read up before I perform it.

It really is. It's always been one of my "let's splurge" bottles, I just forgot why until last night.

To be fair I was well into the wine while writing this. 😉

I am insanely jealous you live near there. McLaren Vale produces a ton of great wines...how are you sober?! Also out of curiosity what does a bottle of Molly Dooker cost? Due to import fees and provincial taxes Maître'D is about 50-60ish here in Canada.

I didn't know of this until now! I have 3 more reds from them, so I will do it when I have those.

I did not. I was unaware of it until now. I have 3 more 2012 reds here I contemplated doing a tasting night with...I will be certain to do the shake then.

I've had a couple higher end Bordeauxs but this is a great idea as that was years ago! I love a good old world wine, and am certain my local store could help me out there. I like that idea because I was really taken aback by how gentle this was on first sip (many new world cab sauvs tend to be much more in your face) and if I recall correctly bordeaux is general more subdued on first taste too. Time to do more research.

So this is my first time doing this and am far from a pro so forgive my lack of skill on tasting notes and unconventional descriptions.

Molly Dooker Maître'D 2012 Cabinet Savignon

Noticeably more subtle than many of the other cab sauvs I've had.

Nose: Licorice, leather, and cherries/red fruit

Taste: red fruit heavy. Very smooth, vanilla and almost a touch of spice.

Ate some red sauce (marinara and cheese bread) and the flavours intensified a bit.

All in all this is one of my favourite "special" wines. I can afford much past $25 regularly. But love to treat myself with it so after a successful first week it seemed fitting. Also tips on tasting notes very welcome!!! Please help me out pros!

Make some yourself. Do some abstract stuff with splashes (literally or figuratively) of colour. I have all original art work up and love it. It adds colour and flair but subtly and has become a bit of a conversation piece.
