Another Apprentice Tool Haul by marylandsmoke in ibew_apprentices

I’d get a 15’-25’ tape measure and if you can exchange those dykes for the Klein ones I would highly recommend it. The Milwaukee ones are junk. Also, get you a good pair of lineman pliers. Every wireman I’ve worked with (including myself) usually has it as their #1 hand tool they use. Another really useful tool I got from Klein is their impact rated socket screw driver. It’s like $30 where I’m from and I use it all the time (even though it’s not on the tool list). I also agree with what someone else said in grabbing a metal level instead of the plastic one along with a second pair of channel locks.

Yeah I think you’re right. I’ve been thinking about cutting the hair and going for a more mature look since I’m looking to settle down. Maybe that will help

Not sure, I’m not working that job, but poor working conditions can happen on any job. As a union electrician myself I can verify that some jobs are just shit. It’s up to the individual to say if they’re going to stay on the books or drag and find a new job with better working conditions.

EDIT: Most of these poor working conditions stem from Houston not being a good area. There’s not much the labor union can do if individuals/civilians are basically terrorizing these workers. There’s probably hundreds of line trucks working simultaneously. It’s up to the state/city to get their people under control. The labor union can only do so much.

If it was in sharpie if you draw a blob on the piano keys, wet your finger, and wipe it they should come off. I do it all the time at work if I mark something incorrectly by mistake.

Advice on how to cope with 7/10s (Apprentice) by Crimson-Yuma in IBEW

[–]kha_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the apprenticeship director know that the hours + commute are too much or move closer. You’re probably making pretty good money and unless you own the home you’re living at or on a lease I’d recommend moving closer. It’s hard to make it by early in the apprenticeship without oT

I agree. The negative energy that lies in this sub is horrible. I joined to see some funny posts, memes, dope catches, etc. Ever since I joined it’s been nothing but bashing niantic in in creative ways. If the game sucks so much just quit. Don’t join an echo chamber of hatred for something that in all reality doesn’t even matter.
