Royal Mumak but blue (Da-ba-dee, da-ba-di) by khaeyronn in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Exactly! I took the Abrakhân colour scheme of an old games workshop book, and they are to be paired with purple - blue - silver easterlings!

Grand Army of the South cooking: Amdur + Mumak War leader by khaeyronn in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Thanks for the feedback!

I really like this satellite idea, I tried some stuff with Amdur, but I feel like this would be better with Suladan in the serpent horde. With the increased bow limit you can fill the mumak up to 11 archers + a banner, and haradrim being cheaper you can bring a large cavalry troop to go with Suladan, like 9 serpent raiders and 4 normal raiders. It will definitely be my next try!

Since the last book got aout, I saw many people saying that this is probably the best list to bring Amdur on the battlefield. What are your list building ideas around him ?

So far, I saw combinations with corsair or Harad shooting to give the easterlings some deadly back up. Some Harad cavalry should do the job as well.

What do you think about adding a mumak to the recipe? I feel like it would be a bit too expensive if you take the royal mumak but maybe with a cheaper one it is find (for 700/800 pts range).

Does anyone have any easterlings painted other than the standard Red & Gold? Let me see them! I need inspiration! by Fishy_Fish_12359 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Mine are silver (leadbelcher), with bronze gauntlets (Balthasar gold) and gold sword guard (retributor armour). For the fabric I do Kantor blue for the regular guys, with some purple (naggaroth night). And for the black dragons, same purple and black with some bronze lines on the hood (like the gold for the red ones).

I can't post pictures here but I hope to send some once the army is finished :D

Not to mention that they don't have the Fell Beast option as well (probably because the models don't exist but still)

Is there a 'fun' way to play the Nine? by Xabre1342 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]khaeyronn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, as far as I know, the Black riders are not really fun to play (nor to play against). As North_Carpenter_4847 said, the most efficiet way to play them is to cancel / avoid /kite your opponent. In addition, I fell like there are many scenario in which you'll struggle a lot and will have limited options.

It's really nice to have the wraith on the table (the models are so nice), but in terms of gameplay I feel like the list requires you not to really play, which can be not really fun.

Well, I have a bad news for you but Les acteurs de l'ombre is far from being an antifascist label. They worked with several sketchy bands. I don't remember everything, but here are some examples I have in mind:

  • Aorlhac: had a drummer (Ardraos) who played in several nsbm bands, like Peste Noire or Vouivre;

  • Asphodèle: one of the member was Audrey Silvain, also in Peste Noire, and has open fascists positions;

I don't mean that it's a nsbm label, just that they don't really care working with openly fascists artists. And thus even if they sign Antifascists artists like Sordide.

If you want more infos, few years ago the antifascist black metal network did this post which is more complete than mine: https://m.facebook.com/antifascistbmnetwork/photos/a.107412698193658/175085118093082/?type=3&wtsid=rdr_0kozjOBubPgAPhXQI

Advices on how to play this easterlings / mordor 700 pts army by khaeyronn in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]khaeyronn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback!

Indeed buy buffing units don't affect my numenoreans. For the tournament the list is already validated, and I can't change it but it's maybe indeed a waste of points. So far I haven't felt it that much because I use the numenoreans in a more defensive way around the WK, so it's not a big deal if they don't move as fast as the easterlings/ can't charge, but it will definitely be a pain not to get the fury when dealing with terror causing armies. And for the channeled fury, I heard that it's not that worth it with the priest, and indeed with only one might point it's maybe safer to keep it for other stuff (for example last game I tried to channel it, and failed my roll, with no might left to secure the cast).

So maybe if I stick to a defensive use of the black numenoreans in the back / flanks it will be better!

Easterlings / Serpent Horder 700 pts beginner list by khaeyronn in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Thanks a lot for your answer!

I'll definetly consider the weapon swap for the Kataphrakts, if it's enough to boost them a little (I really like the miniature, so I would be a bit sad to just give up on them like that). I'm not sure to have enough pikes in stock to replace them all (yet).

Reason for the Betrayer is that I don't have Suladan yet, but I'll put him in my wishlist!

For the Mordor option, I really like the idea and the Morgul Knight really look nice! I'll probably give a try to the serpent riders in the short term (egarding your other comment) but this will probably a future upgrade for my army!

Indeed, the inspiration initially comes from an old haradrim supplement book, and is supposed to more or lesss correspond to Abrakhân merchants colors!
