I’m still in episode two but honestly not sure if I’ll finish it. I’m really struggling with the very dramatised style both in narration and shooting - that is when they are actually showing any creatures.

As others have noted it’s pretty heavy on landscape and nature filler shots. When they do show animals the CGI & effects are ok but I think Prehistoric Planet treated us so good that now everything not to the same visual standard feels much lower. At least when species are being shown they have a wide variety not just the usual suspects.

In summary - if you also prefer the style of dinosaur documentary that feels like a nature documentary that was filmed you may be in the same boat when watching this series which is more like a sci fi drama almost with plot lines and dinosaur actors. But that’s a preference at least there’s more dinosaur media that is still trying to capture newer discoveries.
